DocumentDocument40-INCH OSCILLATING TOWER FAN Model NO: PM 740 INSTRUCTION MANUAL 1 SAFETY OPERATION Ensure that all safety precautions are followed when using electrical appliances for the proper operation of the safety device. This instruction booklet describes the safety precautions to be observed during operation to prevent injuries to yourself, other persons and damage to the device. The content not only is suitable for this product but also electrical appliances in general. SAFETY INSTRUCTION To avoid fire or shock hazard, plug the appliance directly into a 220-240V AC electrical outlet. Disconnect the power plug before dismantling, assembling or before cleaning. Keep unit away from heated surfaces and open flames. To protect against electrical hazards, DO NOT immerse in water or other liquids. Do not use near water. Children cannot recognize the hazards associated with the usage of electrical appliances. For this reason, always supervise children when they are near the unit. Always unplug the tower fan before moving ot, cleaning or whenever the tower fan is not in use. Be sure to pull by the plug and not the cord. The inside of the unit contains no user serviceable parts. All servicing should be performed by qualified personnel only. Do not operate the appliance with wet hands, in order to avoid damage. DO NOT knock or shake the body of the tower fan when in use, otherwise it may cause the item to stop. NEVER insert fingers, pencils or any other objects through the guards. The fan must not be used if the casing is damaged or open. 3 COMPONENTS Display & Control Panel Air Outlet Handle Air Inlet Base CONTROL PANEL REMOTE CONTROL 4 ASSEMBLY 1. Attach the two components of the base to each while pulling the cable through the middle. Then push the two parts into each other, making sure they click into place. 2 Place the base on the fan housing and gently pull the power cord through the opening of the base. 3. Attach the base to the fan housing using the nut provided. 4. Finally pass the power cord on the bottom of the stand through the cable fixation and into the opening provided on the side of the base to the outside. This ensures a safe position of the fan and a strain relief to the power cord. 5 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS POWER: Turns the tower fan ON/OFF Press the POWER button. The device starts operating. Press POWER again and the device will stop working and display the room temperature. MODE: Press to choose between 3 different modes. - COOL MODE: Fan will blow at any speed you select. - REFRESH MODE: Fan will start to cycle through the speeds High, Medium and Low - SLEEP MODE: Fan will start to cycle through the speeds Medium and Low. Ps: if you set the sleep mode at high speed the fan will work at high speed for 30 minutes, then medium for 30 medium then always in low. SPEED: Press to adjust between 3 fan speeds low, medium and high. OSCILLATION: Press to start oscillation. Press again to stop oscillation. TIMER: Press the timer button to select the amount of time which you would like the device to run 0.5 7.5 hours, before it stops automatically. REMOTE CONTROL: Requires 1 pc CR2025 3V battery supplied in the remote control. Used batteries must be safely disposed. Respect the polarity when inserting. Direct it to the front of the fan. 6 BATTERY REPLACEMENT 1. Remove the battery holder by pressing the locking tab A with your thumb and pulling it out as per arrow B. 2. Replace the battery with the same type and the (+) side facing up. 3. Gently push in the holder until securely locked into place. NOTE: The tower fan has an automatic energy-saving mode. After each setting, the display will turn off the display after 180 seconds, it will come up again when use the remote or change setting from display. CLEANING & MAINTENANCE Always disconnect the cord from the electrical outlet when cleaning your fan. Light accumulated dust may be removed from the fan with a soft cloth or vacuum cleaner using the dusting brush attachment. Wipe the exterior surfaces of the fan occasionally with a cloth moistened (not dripping wet) with a mild soap solution. Dry the case thoroughly with a soft dry cloth before operating the fan. Avoid the use of gasoline, benzine, thinner etc as they may result in damage to the fan. Store the fan in a clean dry place when not in use. CAUTION! Do not immerse the unit in water or allow water to drip into the interior of the fan housing as this could create a afire or electric shock hazard. 7 WARRANTY & SERVICE Items purchased directly with PureMate, or one of our approved resellers, you will automatically register your warranty for 1 (ONE) year. You do not require to register again for your warranty.
