Test Channel of EUT
For testing, the Lowest, Middle, and Highest frequency channels were selected.
Lowest channel: Channel 0, Frequency 2402MHz
Middle channel: Channel 39, Frequency 2441MHz
Highest channel: Channel 78, Frequency 2480MHz
Remark: Channel 0, 39 & 78 have been tested for GFSK, π/4-DQPSK, 8DPSK modulation mode.
Test Procedures and Setup
AC Power Line Conducted Emission Procedure
The EUT is connected to the power mains through a LISN (Line Impedance Stabilization Network) which provides 50 Ω/50 μH of coupling impedance. The test frequency range is from 150 kHz to 30 MHz. The maximum conducted interference is searched using Peak (PK), Quasi-peak (QP) and Average (AV) detectors. Tests for both L phase and N phase lines are performed.
Radiated Test Method
For below 1GHz: The EUT is placed on a tabletop 0.8 m above the ground in a 3 m semi-anechoic chamber. The measurement distance is 3 m. The EUT operates in each mode, and signal levels are determined by rotating the EUT (0° to 360°) and varying antenna height (1 m to 4 m) in vertical and horizontal polarizations. Test software controls the antenna and turntable.
For above 1GHz: The EUT is placed on a tabletop 1.5 m above the ground in a 3 m semi-anechoic chamber. The measurement distance is 3 m. Similar rotation and height variation procedures are followed. Test software controls the antenna and turntable.
Conducted Test Method
The Bluetooth antenna port of the EUT is connected to the test system via an RF cable. The EUT is kept in continuous transmission mode and tested in all modulation modes. Test software is used to prepare a test plan and control the system.
Test Setup Diagrams Description
Conducted Emission Measurement Setup:
This setup involves the EUT, Auxiliary Equipment (AE), a Line Impedance Stabilization Network (LISN), a Pulse Limiter, and a Receiver. The EUT and AE are placed on a non-conducting table, 80cm high, with specific distances to the LISN and reference ground planes. Vertical and Reference Ground Planes are indicated.
Conducted Test Method Setup:
This setup utilizes various test equipment including a Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generators (ESG Vector, MXG), a Wideband Radio Communication Tester, a Temperature Humidity Chamber, a DC Power Source, and RF Control/Sensor Units, all connected to the EUT.
Radiated Test Method Setup (Below 1GHz):
Depicts a semi-anechoic chamber setup with the EUT on a turntable. An antenna is positioned at a 3m distance. The EUT is at 0.8m height, and the antenna height is adjustable from 1m to 4m. A receiver and preamplifier are shown.
Radiated Test Method Setup (Above 1GHz):
Similar to the below 1GHz setup, but the EUT is positioned 1.5m above the ground on the turntable. The antenna is at a 3m distance, with adjustable height from 1m to 4m. A receiver and preamplifier are shown.
