This document provides essential instructions for users of the Spektrum DX6R radio. It covers the process of registering your device and updating both its Channel Processor (CP) Firmware and the RaceWare Android application.
Registration and Serial Number Location
Before downloading firmware or application updates, you must first register your DX6R radio. Visit SpektrumRC.com/myaccount to complete the registration.
To locate your transmitter's serial number, follow these steps using the Raceware APP:
- Turn on the transmitter by holding the power button for 2 seconds.
- Press the circle with 6 dots (APP Drawer).
- Locate the Raceware app on the current page or by swiping right.
- Once the Raceware APP is open, swipe right twice (or three times if telemetry is set up) to reach the Setup screen.
- Scroll up and select "APP Settings".
- Scroll up again to find and note your serial number.
If the serial number is difficult to read, a "Serial # Viewer" application can be downloaded and installed. The APK file can be obtained via the link: DX6RSerial.apk. This file should be downloaded to a micro SD card, inserted into the DX6R, and then installed using a file explorer app like ES File Explorer.
