How to use the Smart iCarCam app

1. Step 1. Download & Install

   • Go to Google Play Store or Apple Store
   • Install Smart iCarCam

2. Step 2. Power on a VTR117GW.

3. Step 3. Connect Wi-Fi

   1. Go to mobile device Wi-Fi settings
   2. Select SSID: M-xxxxx
   3. Enter password: 12345678

4. Step 4. Open “Smart iCarCam" App

5. Step 5. "Open Carcam” for “Live View”

Off-line Mode: When Wi-Fi is not connected to the camera and operating in 'off-line' mode, the camera picture and the 'Open Camera' function will not be displayed.

Menu Buttons at the bottom row:

• "CarCam": Main screen showing VTR117GW travelled positions, if connected previously.
• "Track": Not described in detail in the provided text.
• "Gallery": View photos and downloaded videos.

Live View

When the iCarCam app is open, it displays the live view from the dash cam.

Recorded Videos

Touch the camera button to view videos in thumbnail format. There are four groups of videos:

• Normal: Video recording under normal driving conditions.
• Clips: Not applicable for VTR117GW.
• Event: Not applicable for VTR117GW.
• Parking: Video recording when parking mode is enabled.

Videos can be played back by touching them. Playback includes the camera's geo-location displayed on a Google map.

Download to cell phone:

1. Tap 'Select' (top right corner of the screen).
2. Touch the desired video(s) to select them (they will be check marked).
3. Tap the Download button [⬇️] to save the video(s) to your mobile device.

To view downloaded videos, go to the 'Gallery' -> "Video" section.

View Photos and Downloaded Videos

Take pictures:

Touch the shutter button from the live mode screen.

To view the pictures:

1. Touch the "CarCam" button to return to the main screen (exit live mode).
2. Select 'Gallery'.
3. Touch a photo thumbnail to view it.

To view the downloaded videos:

1. Select 'Videos'.
2. Touch a video thumbnail to play it back.

Camera Settings

Access camera settings by touching the Settings button ⚙️ from the live mode screen.

VTR117GW Settings Menu Options:

• MAC Address: Displays the device's MAC address.
• Voice Prompt: Turn on or off voice prompts.
• Language > Selection language: Choose from available languages including Hebrew, Chinese, English, and Russian.
• Video Resolution > Select Recording Resolution: Choose between 720P and 1080P.
• Gesture Photography > Set sensitivity: Adjust sensitivity for gesture-activated photography (Low, Mid, High).
• G-Sensor Sensitivity > Impact sensitivity: Set the sensitivity for the G-sensor (High, Mid, Low, Off).
• Time Synchronization: Synchronize the VTR117GW's time with your phone's time.
• Card Storage Management > MicroSD Card usage & Reset: View card capacity, used space, and manage video/image storage. It details storage distribution for different types of recordings.
• Version > FW info & version: Displays current and latest firmware versions.

To access Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) and adjust speed settings:

1. Go to the Main Screen.
2. Select the "Me" tab.
3. From the "Me" screen, select "FAQ" for questions and answers, or "About" to view app version and change the "Speed Unit" (e.g., km/h or MPH).
