Dimensions and Installation Information
Important Notes
IMPORTANT: Requires a 3" free area between the bottom of the cooktop and any combustible material, i.e., shelving. Free area not required when installing a wall oven underneath the cooktop. Refer to installation instructions. Requires a 15" minimum clearance from the cooktop to adjacent overhead cabinets. Units are furnished with a 48" flexible armored cable.
Compatibility and Cutout Requirements
NOTE: 36" induction cooktops are approved for use over select GE 30" Single Wall Ovens and Warming Drawers. Refer to cooktop and wall oven/warming drawer installation instructions packed with the product for current dimensional data. If installed with a GE Telescopic Downdraft System, consult both the cooktop and downdraft installation instructions packed with the product before installing. Cooktop gas/electric supply may need to be re-routed to install the downdraft. The countertop cutout requires a 23-1/2" minimum flat countertop surface and a 25" minimum total countertop depth. In addition, other clearances to the front edge of the countertop must be considered.

Approximate Cooking Dimensions
The cooktop itself measures 36" in width and has a depth of 20-1/2". The recommended countertop cutout dimensions are 18-7/8" (front to back) by 33-3/4" (side to side). Minimum clearances include 1-3/4" to the rear wall. The front-to-back dimension of the cutout area should be between 19-1/8" and 19-1/4".
Installation Above a Wall Oven
When installing above a wall oven, a minimum of 2-1/2" is required from the front edge of the countertop to the front edge of the cooktop cutout. A minimum of 31-1/4" is required from the top surface of the countertop to the top surface of the wall oven support platform.
Clearances for Overhead Cabinets and Walls
Overhead cabinets should have a maximum depth of 13" for unprotected cabinets. A minimum clearance of 30" is required from the countertop to any unprotected overhead surface. For side clearances, ensure a 2" minimum distance from the cutout to the nearest vertical wall or cabinet on the right side of the unit, below the 15" minimum clearance height. A 2" minimum clearance to the side wall is also required from the cut-out on the left side of the unit. A minimum height of 15" is required from the countertop to the nearest cabinet (including light rails) on both sides of the cooktop.
