Set Up Your Camera
Step 1. Download Tapo App
Get the Tapo app from the App Store or Google Play, or by scanning the QR code.

Step 2. Log In
Open the app and log in with your TP-Link ID. Create one if you don't have an account.

Step 3. Add Your Camera
Tap the [+] button > Add Device in the app and search for your model. Follow the app instructions to complete setup.

Set Up Using Amazon Frustration-Free Setup
Note: TCW30 does not support Amazon Frustration-Free Setup.
What is Amazon Frustration-Free Setup?
Amazon Frustration-Free Setup (FFS) helps connect and set up Tapo smart devices with fewer steps, eliminating the need to remember and re-enter Wi-Fi passwords.
To use this feature, confirm:
The Tapo device supports Amazon FFS.
The Tapo device was purchased from Amazon.
You have an Amazon FFS-enabled Alexa device or router.
You have saved your Wi-Fi information to Amazon using Alexa echo.
Your Tapo device and router are on the same network as your Alexa echo.

If the LED does not turn solid green after a long time, try adding the Tapo device manually: Press the Reset button on your Tapo device once, then open the Tapo app, tap the [+] button, select your device model, and follow the app instructions.
How to use Amazon Frustration-Free Setup with Tapo devices
Open the Amazon Alexa app. Tap More, then select Skills & Games.
Enter "Tapo" in the search bar and choose Tapo.

Tap the ENABLE TO USE button.
Log in with your TP-Link ID that is bound to your Tapo device, and tap Authorize. A message confirming the successful link will appear.

Start By Saying:
"Alexa, turn on my bedroom lamp."
"Alexa, turn off living room fan."
Install a microSD Card
Follow the steps below to install the microSD card for local recording.
Navigate to Camera Settings > microSD Card in the Tapo app to check the card status or format your card.
Manually rotate the camera body up and open the silicone cover to find the reset button and microSD card slot.
Identify the direction of the microSD card and carefully insert it into the slot. Push until you hear a clicking sound.

Mount Your Camera
After adding your camera to the Tapo app, you can place it on a table or shelf. You can also mount it on a wall or ceiling using the provided mounting template and screws, or mount it on a pole with a mounting loop (not included).
Option 1: Wall Mount
Drill Holes: Stick the mounting template to the desired mounting place. Drill two screw holes according to the template. (Hole diameter: 6 mm / 15/64 in.)
Route the Power Cord: Route the power cord through the opening at the bracket's bend.
Install the Bracket: Insert two anchors into the holes and use the screws to affix the bracket. Plug the Type-C connector into the camera base.
Secure the Camera: Align the snap-fit and slide the camera base onto the bracket from the inside outward until it clicks securely into place.

Option 2: Ceiling Mount
Drill Holes: Stick the mounting template to the desired mounting place. Drill three screw holes according to the template. (Hole diameter: 6 mm / 15/64 in.)
Route the Power Cord: Route the power cord through the opening at the bracket's bend.
Install the Bracket: Insert three anchors into the holes and use the screws to affix the bracket. Plug the Type-C connector into the camera base.

Option 3: Pole Mount
Route the Power Cord: Route the power cord through the opening at the bracket's bend.
Install the Bracket: Mount the bracket on the pole using one pole-mounting loop* (loop width ≤ 12 mm).
Secure the Camera: Plug the Type-C connector into the camera base. Align the snap-fit and slide the camera base onto the bracket from the inside outward until it clicks securely into place.
*Pole-mounting Loop (not included)

How to Reset Your Camera
Follow the steps below to reset your camera using the Reset button.
Alternatively, go to Camera Settings in the Tapo app and tap Remove Device to factory reset your camera.
Manually rotate the camera body up and open the silicone cover to find the reset button.
Press and hold the RESET button to reset the camera:
Press and hold for 5s (LED blinks red slowly): Reset Wi-Fi settings only.
Press and hold for 10s (LED blinks red quickly): Reset to factory settings.
