Features

  • [IP65] rated for total protection against dust and low-pressure jets of water from any direction.
  • 3-year guarantee.

Safety Instructions

  1. Read these instructions carefully and retain them for future reference and maintenance.
  2. Ensure the mains power is isolated before carrying out installation or maintenance.
  3. Check that the total load on the circuit, including this luminaire, does not exceed the rating of the circuit cable, fuse, or circuit breaker.
  4. Note the [IP65] Ingress Protection rating when deciding the installation location.
  5. This product is [IP65] rated.
  6. Install this product in accordance with the latest edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations (BS7671) and current Building Regulations. Consult a qualified electrician if in doubt.

Environmental Instructions

This product may contain hazardous substances. Dispose of electrical and electronic equipment separately from household waste for correct treatment and recovery. Recycle packaging where possible.

Installation Instructions

SUGGESTED METHOD OF INSTALLATION

Read instructions and ensure you have all necessary tools and accessories for safe and compliant installation.

  1. Remove the junction box and compression glands from the rear of the luminaire.
  2. Attach the compression glands to the sensor junction box and feed the supply cable through them.
  3. Terminate the mains supply cable, observing correct polarity: Brown – Live, Blue – Neutral, Green/Yellow – Earth.
  4. A slave terminal ([slave terminal] L) is available to connect and control additional luminaires up to 200W.
  5. Detach the jumper plug by pressing the locking bar, pull to release. To connect, push the plug back in (see [Figure] 1).

[Figure] 1: Illustrates the junction box, compression glands, and the jumper plug mechanism for connecting the PIR sensor. It shows how to detach the plug by pressing a locking bar and pulling, and how to reconnect it.

  1. Secure the sensor junction box using the two provided screws, ensuring a tight seal to maintain the [IP65] rating.
  2. Tighten the compression gland(s) and locknut, ensuring a tight seal to maintain the [IP65] rating.

Sensor Settings

A small flat-headed screwdriver is required to adjust the dials.

[Figure] 3: Shows three adjustment dials: 'Delay Time Adjust', 'Sensitivity Level Adjust', and 'LUX Level Adjust'. The Sensitivity dial has markings for range (e.g., 5m/L to 15m/H). The LUX dial has a scale from a moon symbol (lowest) to a sun symbol (highest).

Timer

The timer can be set from 2 seconds to 15 minutes, or switched to [D mode] which enables photocell mode from dusk until dawn, based on the set lux levels.

Sensitivity

The default setting is H (High, up to 12m detection range). It can be adjusted to L (Low, up to 4m detection range).

Lux

The lux light level can be set from 20 Lux to 1000 Lux. The moon symbol represents the lowest level, and the sun symbol represents the highest.

Sensor Lens Masking

To reduce sensor coverage and prevent detection in unwanted areas, mask the sensor lens using the supplied lens mask stickers (see [Figure] 2).

The top section of the lens covers long-range detection, and the bottom covers short range. Similarly, the left and right lens sections cover the left and right detection areas respectively.

[Figure] 2: Depicts the sensor lens with optional masking stickers to restrict detection areas: 'Restrict Long Detection', 'Restrict Short Detection', 'Restrict RHS Detection', and 'Restrict LHS Detection'.

Lux Learn Mode

Set the sensor to activate at a specific ambient light level. Turn the knob to the "Eye" symbol; the sensor will remember the current light level and become active at that level.

Walk Test Procedure

To start walk testing, set the Time indicator to "2s" and the Lux indicator to "Sun". The unit will operate during daytime and night, illuminating the lamp for approximately 2 seconds each time. This allows testing to establish the best sensor position. The lamp will illuminate immediately during the warm-up period. After approximately 45 seconds, the lamp will extinguish. Remain outside the detection area during the warm-up period.

Manual Override

To activate manual override, switch the light OFF/ON once within 2 seconds. The light will remain on for six hours or until switched back into sensor mode by switching OFF/ON again.

Maintenance Instructions

  • There are no serviceable parts in this fitting.
  • Clean external surfaces with a damp cloth and a mild solution of detergent and warm water. Do not use aggressive cleaning products or solvents.
  • Do not use high-pressure washers for maintenance or cleaning.
  • This product should be recycled correctly at the end of its life. Check local authorities for facilities.
