John Deere Greenstar Yield Monitoring and Mapping Software Update Installation Instructions (Version 6.5)

This document provides supplementary installation instructions for the Greenstar yield monitoring and mapping software update to Version 6.5.

JDOFFICE Software Installation

To install the JDOFFICE software, insert the CD and follow the on-screen instructions. Detailed installation instructions are available in the Installation PDF file on the CD.

Important: To download data from a PC Card used with Yield Mapping V. 6.5 on a combine harvester, JDOFFICE must be installed on your computer (desktop or portable). Data recorded with version 6.5 cannot be downloaded from the PC Card to a JDMAP™ version.

Note: JDOFFICE may be available from John Deere preferred partners.

JDOFFICE is a trademark of Deere & Company. JDMAP is a trademark of Deere & Company.

Yield Monitoring and Mapping Software Update (Version 6.5)

Important: After updating the yield monitoring software, recalibration of the flow sensor is necessary. Failure to recalibrate the flow sensor after the software update may cause significant inaccuracies in yield measurement data.

Many of the improvements in version 6.5 are not evident to the user. The evident changes relate to calibration. The changes are illustrated below:

Press Cancel to interrupt the calibration procedure.

Press Continue to reset the Low Flow Comp Mode number to 1.00. After completing standard calibration, it may be necessary to perform the low flow compensation procedure. For calibration procedures, consult the operator manual for the yield monitoring and mapping system.

Crop Tracer (Product Identification) Functionality

Note: Crop Tracer (Product Identification) is not yet supported by JDOFFICE from our preferred partners.

The addition of Crop Tracer (Product Identification) to the new software allows the operator to detect the identity of the harvested product and keep more detailed records. Entries included in the new software are load and contract numbers, contractor, and operator.

Crop Tracer Setup

Crop Tracer (Product Identification) is activated/deactivated on the SETUP - Yield Mapping - PAGE 4 (Setup - Yield Mapping - Page 4) screen.

From this screen, all Crop Tracer (Product Identification) information can be modified.
