John Deere Greenstar Yield Monitoring and Mapping Software Update Installation Instructions (Version 6.5)
This document provides supplementary installation instructions for the Greenstar yield monitoring and mapping software update to Version 6.5.
JDOFFICE Software Installation
To install the JDOFFICE software, insert the CD and follow the on-screen instructions. Detailed installation instructions are available in the Installation PDF file on the CD.
Important: To download data from a PC Card used with Yield Mapping V. 6.5 on a combine harvester, JDOFFICE must be installed on your computer (desktop or portable). Data recorded with version 6.5 cannot be downloaded from the PC Card to a JDMAP™ version.
Note: JDOFFICE may be available from John Deere preferred partners.
JDOFFICE is a trademark of Deere & Company. JDMAP is a trademark of Deere & Company.
Yield Monitoring and Mapping Software Update (Version 6.5)
Important: After updating the yield monitoring software, recalibration of the flow sensor is necessary. Failure to recalibrate the flow sensor after the software update may cause significant inaccuracies in yield measurement data.
Many of the improvements in version 6.5 are not evident to the user. The evident changes relate to calibration. The changes are illustrated below:
- Possibility to modify Farm/Field during calibration.
- Inability to modify the Crop (Product) entry during calibration.
- Once low flow compensation calibration is performed (the number corresponding to Low Flow Comp must be different from 1.00), selecting Standard Calibration will display the following warning screen.
Press Cancel to interrupt the calibration procedure.
Press Continue to reset the Low Flow Comp Mode number to 1.00. After completing standard calibration, it may be necessary to perform the low flow compensation procedure. For calibration procedures, consult the operator manual for the yield monitoring and mapping system.

Yield Mapping Software Update (Version 6.5)
Important: After updating the yield monitoring software, recalibration of the flow sensor is necessary. Failure to recalibrate the flow sensor after the software update may cause significant inaccuracies in yield measurement data.
The yield mapping software Version 6.5 has several improvements, including:
- Ability to perform parallel detection on the same GREENSTAR display for yield mapping.
- Crop Tracer (Product Identification) functionality.
- Improvements to the calibration procedure.
Parallel Detection with Yield Mapping
Insert the access card for parallel detection and the PC Card into the mobile processor. Yield mapping and parallel detection can be performed on the same display. To activate parallel detection, go to the SETUP - Tracking page. Select the detection mode and the RUN page setting. For complete setup and operation procedures, consult the parallel detection section in the Operator Manual.

Differences noted:
- To switch from dry product yield values to wet product yield values, press button B.
- The moisture percentage has been moved from section D to section C of the RUN (Execution) 1 page.
- The cut width is displayed in section D of the RUN (Execution) 1 page and section D of the RUN (Execution) 2 page.
- The number of active flags is displayed in section E of the RUN (Execution) 1 and 2 pages.
- The product is displayed in section A of the RUN (Execution) 1 and 2 pages.
- Section B of the RUN (Execution) 2 page combines sections B and C of the previous version. The icon changes from Select to "more". Pressing the alphabetical button switches from productivity (ac/h and bu/h) to field area (acres).
- The variety moves from section E to section C of the RUN (Execution) 2 page.
- A copy of the flag selection is displayed in section E of the RUN (Execution) 2 page.
- Section G is reserved for notifications.
- The remaining PC Card recording time has been removed from the RUN (Execution) page. This information is not available on any screen. When the PC Card has less than 30 hours of recording time, a warning message will be displayed at startup.
Yield Mapping with Parallel Detection Enabled in Single Section Mode
When parallel detection is enabled, the following entries change:
- Section D of the RUN (Execution) 1 page: Cut width is eliminated to make space for parallel detection.
- Section C of the RUN (Execution) 1 page: Moisture is moved to section D of the RUN (Execution) 1 page.
- Section B of the RUN (Execution) 1 page: Dry product yield and wet product yield are moved to section C.
- Section A of the RUN (Execution) 1 page: Time and product are moved to section B.
- The section of the RUN (Execution) 1 page is reserved for parallel detection.

Crop Tracer (Product Identification) Functionality
Note: Crop Tracer (Product Identification) is not yet supported by JDOFFICE from our preferred partners.
The addition of Crop Tracer (Product Identification) to the new software allows the operator to detect the identity of the harvested product and keep more detailed records. Entries included in the new software are load and contract numbers, contractor, and operator.
Crop Tracer Setup
Crop Tracer (Product Identification) is activated/deactivated on the SETUP - Yield Mapping - PAGE 4 (Setup - Yield Mapping - Page 4) screen.
From this screen, all Crop Tracer (Product Identification) information can be modified.
