Instructions

Measure AC/DC Voltage

  1. Minimum voltage measurable is 0.8V.
  2. Connect the black test lead to COM and the red test lead to the input terminal [input terminal].
  3. The meter automatically selects AC or DC voltage.
  4. Touch probes to test points.
  5. Read the voltage on the display.

Caution: Do not measure voltage exceeding MAX Value or touch high voltage circuits during measurement.

Measure AC Current Only

  1. Ensure probes are not in jacks; turn power on.
  2. Push jaw release, center wire within clamp jaws at the marked position for accuracy.
  3. Read current on the display.

Caution: Do not measure current exceeding MAX Value. Measure one wire at a time.

Measure Resistance

  1. Connect black test lead to COM and red test lead to the input terminal [input terminal].
  2. Resistance is auto-ranging.
  3. Touch probes to test points.
  4. Read resistance on the display.

Caution: Disconnect power and discharge capacitors before testing resistance. Do not input voltage in Resistance Mode.

Measure Continuity / Diode

  1. Connect black test lead to COM and red test lead to the input terminal [input terminal].
  2. Press SEL/Power once to toggle to Continuity/Diode Mode.
  3. Touch probes to test points.
  4. A beep [?] indicates resistance below 50Ω, and an indicator light will be on.
  5. For diode measurement: Connect red probe to anode and black probe to cathode.
  6. Read forward biased voltage [?]. "OL" indicates reversed polarity or a broken diode.

Caution: Do not input voltage in Continuity/Diode Mode.

Measure Capacitance

  1. Discharge all capacitors before testing.
  2. Connect black test lead to COM and red lead to the input terminal [input terminal].
  3. Press Power button twice to enter Capacitance Mode [?️].
  4. Connect red probe to anode and black probe to cathode of the capacitor.
  5. Read measured capacitance.

Measure Frequency

  1. Connect black test lead to COM and red test lead to the input terminal [input terminal].
  2. Press Hz/NCV button once for AC current frequency [Hz] (without leads connected).
