Electrical Connection

Before plugging the appliance into the electrical receptacle, check that:

If necessary, the power cable must be replaced by a qualified professional only.

Ensure air intake and outlet grilles are unobstructed before use.

Preparation for Use

Note: This appliance features an auto-evaporation function for condensate removal during cooling and dehumidifying modes.

Installation and Operation

Air Conditioning with Installation

For optimal results, set up your appliance as follows:

  1. Screw the hose adaptor C3 to the end of the air exhaust hose C2.
  2. Fit the air exhaust hose into the housing at the back of the appliance. Insert it as shown in Figure 1. [Diagram 1: Shows hose being inserted into the back of the unit.]
  3. Drill a hole (ø134mm / 5.27 in.) in an exterior wall or through a window pane.

Respect the height and dimensions of the hole indicated in Figures 2 and 3.

Notes:

Air Conditioning Without Installation (Window Setup)

You can also set up in a double-hung window:

  1. Place the bracket in the window sill, extend it fully within the window frame, fix it with the pin, then lower the window onto the bracket. (If the window bracket is too large, it can be cut by a qualified professional).
  2. Fit the air exhaust hose into the housing at the back of the appliance. Insert as shown in Figure 1.
  3. Screw the window outlet C7 to the other end of the exhaust hose (see Figure 6).

Insert the window outlet into the window bracket slot (Figure 7).

Operating Modes

Air Conditioning ❄️

Ideal for hot, muggy weather to cool and dehumidify the room.

To set correctly:

Recommended indoor temperature: 75°F to 81°F (24°C to 27°C). Do not set temperature much below the outdoor temperature.

Note: Leave door slightly open (1 cm) for ventilation.

Dehumidifying ?

Ideal for reducing room humidity.

To set correctly:

Fan speed is adjustable above 77°F (25°C); automatically set below this temperature.

Heating ☀️

Ideal for spring/autumn when outdoor temperatures are mild.

To set correctly:

The unit may perform a pre-heating cycle if cold. Fan may operate for short periods even if set temperature is reached.

Fan Mode ?

Air exhaust hose is not required.

To set correctly:

To change temperature units (°F/°C), press and buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds.

Setting the Timer

Delayed Start-Up

Program the appliance to turn on later.

To cancel, press Timer button (B4) again or ON/OFF button (B1).

Delay OFF

Program the appliance to turn off later.

To cancel, press Timer button (B4) again.

Operating from the Remote Control

Point remote at the unit. Range is up to 16.4 ft (5 meters).

Inserting/Replacing Batteries:

Dispose of batteries responsibly.

FCC/IC Compliance: This device complies with FCC Rules Part 15 and Canadian ICES-3(B)/NMB-3(B).

Turning the Appliance ON

Plug in the appliance. Display shows two lines (stand-by, Figure 10).

Press ON/OFF button (B1). Unit starts in last used mode (Figure 11).

Press MODE button (B2) to select desired function: Cooling ❄️, Dehumidifying ?, Heating ☀️, Fan Only ?.

Self-Diagnosis

The appliance has a self-diagnosis system. Error messages appear on the display:

Cleaning

Before cleaning, turn off unit (ON/OFF button B1 or D1) and unplug.

Cabinet Cleaning

Clean with a slightly damp cloth, then dry with a dry cloth. Do not wash with water.

Precautions

Do not use petrol, alcohol, solvents, or spray insecticides.

Silver Ion Air Filter Cleaning

Clean the filter weekly for optimal efficiency. The filter is in the intake grille.

Remove dust with a vacuum cleaner. If very dirty, wash in lukewarm water (below 104°F/40°C), rinse, and dry completely.

The silver ion filter captures dust and pollen, and reduces bacteria and mold.

Start and End of Season Operations

Start of Season Checks

Check power cable, plug, and ground connection. Follow installation instructions.

End of Season Operations

To drain water: Remove external cap from drain hose, then internal cap, and let water drain into a basin (Figure 21).

Replace caps. Clean and dry the filter.

Store unit with dust cover C9 and accessories in bag C10.

Safety Plug

The appliance has a safety plug to protect the power cable.

If power cuts off: Unplug, check cable. If damaged, call service. If frequent cuts and cable is fine, contact electrician.

Operation: If safety device trips, check cable. Press [RESET Button] to restore. Periodically press [TEST Button] to verify function.

Important Safeguards

Use only as described. Use caution and common sense. Not for other purposes. Do not alter unit. Install according to national legislation. Contact authorized service for repairs. Not for use by persons with reduced capabilities without supervision. Children should be supervised. Replace damaged power cable only by manufacturer/authorized service. Use grounded 3-prong outlet. Do not use extension cables. Unplug before cleaning/maintenance. Do not pull power cord when moving. Do not install near combustible gases, oil, sulfur, or heat sources. Do not place heavy/hot objects on unit.

Clean filters weekly. Avoid heaters near unit. Transport vertically; if not possible, secure at an angle, not horizontally. Drain unit before transport; wait 6 hours before operating after transport. Packaging materials are recyclable. Wait 3 minutes before restarting after shutdown or thermostat change. Warning: Unauthorized modifications void user authority.

Specific Warnings for R410A Refrigerant Gas

R410A complies with European ecological standards. Do not pierce cooling circuit. Dispose of unit at end of life at a special collection center. System contains fluorinated greenhouse gases.

Environmental Information

Unit contains fluorinated greenhouse gases covered by the Kyoto Protocol. Maintenance and disposal must be by qualified personnel (R410A, GWP=2088).
