What's New for CDR Version 25.0?
The release of version 25.1 of the CDR software includes support for many new MY2024 and newer vehicles and EDR systems, worldwide. CDR Next Generation Application (CDR2)
CDR v25.1 installation program comes bundled with both CDR (Legacy) and CDR2 (Next Generation software). Both Legacy and CDR2 are installed when CDR25.0Setup.exe installation program is executed.
For further information about using the CDR2 application, refer to the document named: CDR2_Product_Information4.pdf. This document is zipped into CDR25.0Setup.zip installation file.

Supported Operating Systems
This version of the CDR software is supported on Windows® 10/11 (64 bit) operating systems with the minimum version requirements:
- Windows® 11
- Windows® 10 - Win 10 build 1507 or later
IMPORTANT: Since Microsoft has stopped support for Windows 7 and 8.1, Bosch will no longer continue to support CDR on these operating systems.
Software Compatibility with CDR Devices
- CDR 900 - This software version is compatible with the Vehicle and Cable Lookup section, provides coverage information regarding CDR 900 supported vehicles.
- CDR 500 - This software version is compatible with all CDR 500 units in the field.
- CANplus – The CANplus device is no longer sold through CDR Tool distributors. Bosch continues to support devices in the field and can be used on vehicles as defined in the CDR help file.
Minimum PC Hardware Requirements
To install and run the CDR software, your PC must meet the minimum hardware requirements listed below:
- Processor Speed: 2GHz or faster
- RAM: 8GB or greater
- Free Disk Space: 8GB or greater
- Video Resolution: 1028x768 or better
- USB Ports: 2 open USB ports (one for CDR interface and the other for CDR 900 wireless setup & for use with CDR 500; both USB ports must be enabled to read USB mass storage devices)
Is Your CDR System Hardware Up to Date?
To take full advantage of this new software version, you need to obtain the new CDR Cables released up through CDR Version 25.1. You also need to make sure your CDR hardware is up to date. If your CDR Tool has not been updated recently, refer to the Checklist for v25.1 which can be found on the Bosch Diagnostics CDR website located at https://cdr.boschdiagnostics.com/cdr/.
