Usage

Unfolding the Wheelchair

  1. Tilt the wheelchair to one side and push down on the seat rails until it is fully open.
  2. Install the rear stability bar and secure it with both knobs to prevent accidental partial folding.
  3. Attach the leg rests.

Folding the Wheelchair

  1. Remove the leg rests.
  2. Unscrew the knob on the slotted end of the stability bar and swing it down, or remove it entirely.
  3. With both hands, pull up on the front and back of the seat sling until the wheelchair is completely folded.

Reclining the Backrest

To adjust the angle of the backrest in either direction: squeeze the handgrip levers, adjust the backrest to the desired angle, then release the handgrip levers to lock it in place. [Lever Symbol] ⚙️

Removing the Armrests

Remove the armrests by depressing the spring button and lifting the arms out of their front and rear sockets. [Button Symbol] ⬆️

Attaching the Leg Rests

  1. Position the footrest so it points 90 degrees away from the reclining chair. The footrest platform should be pointing forward when folded down at this stage.
  2. Align the holes with the footrest pegs on the frame and gently press down until the footrest can swing freely.
  3. Swing the footrest until the footrest platform points inward. Continue rotating until the footrest locks into place; an audible click will be heard.
  4. Repeat steps 1-3 for the other footrest.

Removing Leg Rests

  1. Release the lock by pushing on the front rigging lever.
  2. Swing the footrest/leg rest outward and sideways, then lift to remove.

Adjusting the Length of Leg Rests

Note: When adjusting the length of the leg rests, the user should be seated in the wheelchair with their feet on the foot plates.

  1. Depress the spring button on the leg rest.
  2. Raise or lower the footplate to the desired position that provides maximum support for the thighs.
  3. Confirm the spring button locks into position. ✔️

Note: The foot plate should not be positioned so low that it causes uncomfortable pressure on the thighs at the front of the seat upholstery.

Elevating the Leg Rests

  1. Lift the footplate on the leg rest assembly to the desired position.
  2. Release the leg rest assembly; it will automatically lock into place.
  3. To lower, push out on the leg rest lever and lower the footplate to the desired position.

Locking the Wheels

Engage both wheel locks before getting in or out of the chair, leaning forward in the chair, or while in an elevator or wheelchair lift. Locks are engaged by pushing the handles completely forward. [Wheel Lock Symbol] ➡️

Installing Anti-tips

  1. Insert the anti-tip wheels with the wheels curved down towards the ground/floor until they lock into place.
  2. Press the release buttons on the lower portion of the anti-tip and slide it up or down to achieve proper ground clearance.
  3. Ensure both anti-tips are adjusted to the same setting and the release buttons are fully engaged before use. ✔️

DO NOT ATTEMPT! Any adjustment to your product seat can affect the stability of your product. We highly recommend that you have a dealer or licensed technician adjust your seat height to ensure adjustments are safe.

Safety

Stability

This wheelchair is designed to be safe and stable as long as the center of gravity is maintained during normal activities. Care must be taken during activities that shift the center of gravity. Never reach so far that you need to shift in the seat or bend over out of the chair. When reaching for objects that require leaning, ensure the front casters are pointed forward to extend the wheelbase and stabilize the chair.

Ramps

Assess your own capabilities, limitations, and strength before attempting to go up a ramp. Correct ramp navigation techniques should be demonstrated by a qualified professional. If you must stop on an incline, avoid sudden, abrupt movements when resuming motion. Backward angling of the chair or sudden abrupt movement can cause instability. Attempting to use the wheel lock brakes could result in accidental locking, tipping to one side, or sudden stopping. Avoid changing direction when going down an incline, as this can lead to instability or tipping over. Never use the wheelchair on an incline steeper than 4.8°.

Care of the Wheelchair

Always ensure the wheelchair is dry after use to prevent corrosion. It should be washed regularly using warm water and a mild detergent. Dry thoroughly after washing. Between uses, the wheelchair can be folded for storage.
