NUX B-10 Vlog 2.4GHz Wireless Vlog System
User Manual
Product Overview
The NUX B-10 Vlog is a 2.4GHz wireless vlog system designed for content creators, offering a wireless microphone solution for video production. It features automatic setup, interference-free broadcasting, and high-quality 24-bit/44.1kHz audio transmission with low latency (<5ms) and a range of up to 30 meters (90 feet).
The system is compact and lightweight, consisting of a transmitter (TX) with a built-in omnidirectional electret condenser microphone and a receiver (RX). It supports connecting two B-10 Vlog systems simultaneously for interviews using an optional Y-cable.
The system is compatible with cameras and smartphones, allowing for flexible audio capture.
System Overview
The NUX B-10 Vlog system utilizes a 2.4GHz frequency band for reliable, interference-free broadcasting. It offers automatic pairing for quick setup. The transmitter (TX) can be clipped on as a lavalier microphone or used with an external microphone. The receiver (RX) connects to the camera or recording device.
Diagram Description (Page 2): A diagram illustrates the connection: the Transmitter (TX) connects to the Receiver (RX) via a 3.5mm TRS cable. The Receiver (RX) then connects to a camera's audio input.
Pairing Recommendation: When using multiple B-10 Vlog systems, turn on one set first until it is paired, then turn on the second set to avoid interference.
Note: For optimal performance, maintain a distance of at least 2 meters (6 feet) from Wi-Fi routers.
How to Operate
Powering On/Off and Pairing
To turn on the TX and RX, press and hold the power button for approximately 2.5 seconds. The units will automatically pair within seconds.
LED Indicators (TX):
- Blinking GREEN: Battery 75%-100% (Well Charged)
- Blinking YELLOW: Battery 50%-75% (Medium Battery)
- Blinking RED: Battery 25%-50% (Lower Battery)
- Flashing RED (10 times): Battery <25% (Low Battery, will auto shut down)
Once paired, the TX LED will show solid GREEN, indicating a successful connection. If the RX does not receive a signal, its display will show a blinking [signal indicator] icon (()). When a signal is received, the RX display shows a solid [signal indicator] icon (()) indicating signal strength.
Using the System
Clip the TX onto clothing as a lavalier microphone. A windshield can be attached for better audio quality. An external microphone can also be plugged into the TX, which will automatically disable the built-in microphone.
Scenes:
- Scene 1: TX connected to a camera via RX.
- Scene 2: TX connected to a smartphone via RX.
Mute Function
While the B-10 Vlog is operating, a short press of the TX power button will activate MUTE mode. The TX LED will turn RED, and the RX display will show an 'X' icon. Pressing the TX power button again will exit MUTE mode, returning the TX LED to solid GREEN.
Note: If the TX is used while charging, its LED will show YELLOW.
Output Level Adjustment (RX)
With the RX powered on, short-press its power button to cycle through output levels: -12dB, -6dB, 0dB, +6dB, +12dB. The default output level is 0dB.
Charging the B-10 Vlog
When the battery is low, charge the units using the included USB-C Y-cable. Ensure both TX and RX are turned OFF before charging. The TX LED shows RED when off and charging, and YELLOW when on and charging. The RX display shows charging progress.
Charging Requirements: Use a 5V power adapter with at least 1A output. A power bank can be used to charge the TX while in use.
Manual ID Pairing
The B-10 Vlog units are pre-paired at the factory. If you need to re-pair or pair with a different transmitter/receiver:
- Turn off both the TX and RX.
- Press and hold the power buttons on both TX and RX for approximately 8 seconds to enter ID match status.
- Once the TX LED shows GREEN, the ID match is complete, and the unit enters normal operation mode.
