General Description

The DMXTOPRO is an interface that connects a DMX512 console or control system to a PROTOCOL dimming system. It allows the addressing of up to 24 DMX512 channels in order to control the first 6 modules of PROTOCOL dimmers simultaneously and continuously. It is designed for applications where the sets of general lighting such as house lights in a theatre, auditorium, church etc., need to be controlled by the DMX.

System Overview and Connections

The DMXTOPRO unit serves as an interface between a DMX512 controller and a PROTOCOL lighting system. It connects to DMX512 controllers via XLR5 connectors (DMX IN and DMX OUT). The output connects to PROTOCOL dimmers (e.g., PD804 models) using CAT5 cables for DATA and Power via RJ45 jacks. The system can control up to 24 dimmers in the PROTOCOL system. Control stations like PSF16 and PSF08, which manage levels and scenes, also connect to the PROTOCOL system. A 12VDC power supply is required for the system, connecting to an AC outlet.

Digital Lighting Systems warrants its products to the purchaser against defects in workmanship and materials for two years from the date of invoice, provided they are used as intended. Abuse or misuse voids the warranty. The company's obligation is limited to replacement or repair of defective units. Implied warranties are limited to the duration of the expressed warranty. Replacement units will be shipped as soon as available. Labor charges for warranty issues require prior written factory approval. Distributors and representatives cannot alter the warranty terms without written permission.
