Introduction

Before operating the monitor, please read this manual thoroughly. This manual should be retained for future reference.

Power

Power Source:

  1. Make sure that the power cord is the correct type required for your area.
  2. This LCD monitor has an internal universal power supply that allows operation in either 100/120V AC or 220/240V AC voltage areas (no user adjustment is required).
  3. Connect one end of the AC power cord to the LCD monitor's AC input socket and the other end to a wall outlet.

Adjusting Display Height

  1. In order to achieve the best visual effects, it is recommended that the display be adjusted so that the entire screen is facing you before you adjust the display height according to your personal preference.
  2. Hold the top edge of the display (as indicated in Figure A) and adjust it to the appropriate height (as shown in Figure B).

Setting the Monitor on the Wall

Disassembling the Stand Base:

  1. Disconnect all the cables and cords from the Monitor to prevent breakage.
  2. Carefully place the Monitor face down on a soft and flat surface (e.g., blanket, foam, cloth) to prevent any damage to the Monitor.

Diagram shows the rear of the monitor and indicates the four screws that lock the stand base. It also shows the wall-mounted adapter being assembled to the middle of the machine using PM4*16 screws.

Wall Mounting the Monitor:

  1. Purchase a VESA compatible wall bracket: VESA 75x75, 4 holes, M4, 16mm, supporting up to 23kg.
  2. Locate your ideal Monitor position on the wall.
  3. Fix the wall bracket firmly on the wall.
  4. Secure the Monitor to the bracket using the 4 mount holes on the back and center of the Monitor.

Note:

*Installing the LCD Monitor requires special skill that should only be performed by qualified service personnel. Customers should not attempt to do the work themselves. HANNspree bears no responsibility for improper mounting or mounting that results in accident or injury. You can ask a qualified service personnel about using an optional bracket to mount the Monitor to the wall.

Making Connections

Connecting to a PC

You can set up your monitor with the below suggested connections. Ensure your monitor is off during this process.

  1. Connect one end of the DP cable to the back of the monitor and connect the other end to the computer's DP port.
  2. Connect one end of the HDMI cable (optional) to the back of the monitor and connect the other end to the computer's HDMI port.
  3. Connect one end of the HDMI to DVI cable (optional) to the back of the monitor and connect the other end to the computer's DVI port.
  4. Connect one end of the Type-C cable (optional) to the back of the monitor and connect the other end to the computer's Type-C port.
  5. Connect the audio cable between the monitor's audio input and the PC's audio output (green port).
  6. Plug one end of the AC power cord to the LCD monitor's AC input socket, and the other end to a wall outlet.
  7. Turn on your monitor and computer.

General Instructions

Press the power button to turn the monitor on or off. The other control buttons are located on the front panel of the monitor (See Figure 4). By changing these settings, the picture can be adjusted to your personal preferences.

How to Adjust Settings

Input Source

Setting Description
AUTO SOURCE From the Signal Selection menu, select the "AUTO SOURCE" option to activate the automatic signal search function.
DP Select the [DP] option to change the DP source.
HDMI Select the [HDMI] option to change the HDMI source.

Brightness/Contrast

Setting Description
BRIGHTNESS Adjust the brightness value of the display according to your preference. Select "BRIGHTNESS" option to adjust the brightness value.
CONTRAST Adjust the contrast value of the display according to your preference. Select "CONTRAST" option to adjust the contrast value.
ACTIVE CONTRAST Optimal setting for high contrast images or videos. The dark and light areas of the image are automatically detected, and the contrast is enhanced to provide a clearer, sharper image. Also, you may select the "ACTIVE CONTRAST" option.

Color Setting

Setting Description
GAMMA Setup the display gamma through the gamma function. Available settings are Off/ 1.8/ 2.0/ 2.2/ 2.4/ 2.6.
PICTURE MODE Select the picture mode according to your preference: PC/ ECO/ Movie/ Game.
COLOR TEMPERATURE Adjust the color temperature value of the display according to your preference: Normal/ Warm/ Cool.
USER Move the cursor to the User option and select it:
  1. To adjust the red, enter the "Red" option and adjust the level.
  2. To adjust the green, enter the "Green" option and adjust the level.
  3. To adjust the blue, enter the "Blue" option and adjust the level.
HUE Select the "HUE" option to adjust the hue of the display.
SATURATION Select the "SATURATION" option to adjust the saturation of the display.
LOW BLUE LIGHT Select the "LOW BLUE LIGHT" option to adjust the low blue light of the display.

Picture Quality Setting

Setting Description
SHARPNESS Select the "Sharpness" option to adjust the sharpness of the display.
RESPONSE TIME Setup the display response time through the response time function. Available settings are Off/ High/ Middle/ Low.
SUPER RESOLUTION Select the super resolution according to your preference: Off/ High/ Middle/ Low.
BLACK LEVEL Select the "Black Level" option to adjust the black level of the display.

Display

Setting Description
ASPECT RATIO Setup the aspect ratio of screen through the aspect ratio function. Available settings are Wide Screen/ 4:3/ 1:1/ Auto.

Audio

Setting Description
MUTE Select the "Mute" option to switch the function On or Off. [The availability of this function depends upon the selected model. Adjusting the volume while muted cancels Mute mode.]
VOLUME Select the "Volume" option to change the volume level. Enter the option and adjust the level. [This function applies only to models with incorporated audio.]
● By high volume, risk of hearing damage exists.
AUDIO SOURCE While transferring via the PIP/ PBP, it can select the audio source between DP or HDMI. [For DP/HDMI Input only]

Multi-Window

Setting Description
MULTI-WINDOW Select the "MULTI-WINDOW" option to switch the PIP/ PBP function.
SUB WIN2 INPUT Select "SUB WIN2 INPUT" option to change the input source of the PIP/ PBP. Enter the option and select DP or HDMI (2.0).
PIP SIZE Select "PIP SIZE" option to change the window size. Available settings are Small/ Medium/ Large.
PIP POSITION Select "PIP POSITION" option to change the window position. Available settings are Top Left/ Bottom Left/ Top Right/ Bottom Right.
SWAP Select "SWAP" option to change the 1st and 2nd window.

OSD

Setting Description
LANGUAGE Select LANGUAGE option to change the language of the OSD. Enter the option and select a language. [Reference only, the OSD Language depends on the selected model]
H-POSITION Select H-POSITION option to adjust the horizontal position of the OSD. Enter the option and adjust the level.
V-POSITION Select V-POSITION option to adjust the vertical position of the OSD. Enter the option and adjust the level.
TRANSPARENCY Select "TRANSPARENCY" option to adjust the transparency of the OSD. Enter the option and adjust the level.
OSD TIME OUT Select "OSD TIME OUT" option to set the OSD time out from 5 to 60 seconds. Enter the option and adjust the level.
OSD ROTATION Select "OSD ROTATION" option to rotate the window of the OSD. Available settings are Normal/ 90/ 180/ 270.

Other

Setting Description
DP VERSION Select the "DP VERSION" option to switch the function DP1 or DP2.
ADAPTIVE-SYNC Select the "ADAPTIVE-SYNC" option to change the ADAPTIVE-SYNC function.
HDR Select the "HDR" option to change the HDR function.
CROSS Select the "CROSS" option to change the CROSS function.
DDC/CI Select the "DDC/CI" option to switch the function On or Off. [Dual input mode optional]
RESET Select the "RESET" option to reset to the monitor's default setting. This will erase the current settings.

Plug & Play

Plug & Play DDC2B Feature

This monitor is equipped with VESA DDC2B capabilities according to the VESA DDC STANDARD. It allows the monitor to inform the host system of its identity and, depending on the level of DDC used, communicate additional information about its display capabilities. The DDC2B is a bidirectional data channel based on the I²C protocol. The host can request EDID information over the DDC2B channel.

THIS MONITOR WILL APPEAR TO BE NON-FUNCTIONAL IF THERE IS NO VIDEO INPUT SIGNAL. IN ORDER FOR THIS MONITOR TO OPERATE PROPERLY, THERE MUST BE A VIDEO INPUT SIGNAL.

Technical Support (FAQ)

Q & A For General Problems

Problem & Question Possible Solution
Power LED is not on *Check if the Power Switch is in the ON position.
*Power Cord should be connected.
No Plug & Play *Check if the PC system is Plug & Play compatible.
*Check if the Video Card is Plug & Play compatible.
*Check if any plug pins on the HDMI or DP connector are bent.
The display is too dark or too bright. *Adjust the Contrast and Brightness Controls.
Picture bounces or a wave pattern is present in the picture *Move electrical devices that may cause electrical interference.
The power LED is ON (Blue) but there's no video or no picture. *Computer Power Switch should be in the ON position.
*Computer Video Card should be snugly seated in its slot.
*Make sure monitor's video cable is properly connected to the computer.
*Inspect monitor's video cable and make sure none of the pins are bent.
*Make sure computer is operational by hitting the CAPS LOCK key on the keyboard while observing the CAPS LOCK LED. The LED should either turn ON or OFF after hitting the CAPS LOCK key.
Missing one of the primary colors (RED, GREEN, or BLUE) *Inspect the monitor's video cable and make sure that none of the pins are bent.
Screen image is not centered or sized properly. * Adjust pixel frequency CLOCK and PHASE.
Picture has color defects (White does not look white) *Adjust RGB color or select color temperature.
The screen resolution needs to be adjusted *Use Windows 7/ Windows 8/ Windows 10 Right click anywhere on desktop and select Properties>Settings>Screen Resolution. Use the silder to adjust the reslution and click Apply.
No sound is outputted from monitor's built-in speaker *Make sure PC audio output cable is connected to screen's LINE IN port (or AUDIO IN port).
*Make sure the sound volume adjustment can be clearly identified.
*Make sure the System > Silence option in the monitor menu is on.
*While transferring via HDMI port but no sound is outputted, it is recommended to select AUDIO

Addendum related to Windows 7 / Windows 8 / Windows 10

When you encounter display problems under Windows 7/ Windows 8/ Windows 10, you need to do the following:

  1. Make sure your PC computer (Hardware requirement) can support Windows 7/ Windows 8/ Windows 10.
  2. Make sure your video card can run Windows 7/ Windows 8/ Windows 10.
  3. If your video card can support Windows 7/ Windows 8/ Windows 10, you need to install the latest Windows 7/ Windows 8/ Windows 10 driver of your video card.

Suggest to do the following:

  1. Install the latest Windows 7/ Windows 8/ Windows 10 video driver of your video card.
  2. Try to use the recommended display resolution that is supported by the monitor.
  3. If the recommended display resolution is not working, try the second recommended display resolution.

CABLE NOT CONNECTED:

  1. Check that the signal-cable is properly connected; if the connector is loose, tighten the connector's screws.
  2. Check the signal-cable's connection pins for damage.

INPUT NOT SUPPORT :

Your computer has been set to unsuitable display mode; set the computer to display mode given in the following table.
