IBM z/OS Management Facility Configuration Guide

Version 2 Release 2

About This Document

This document offers detailed guidance on configuring IBM z/OS Management Facility (z/OSMF). It also provides essential information for resolving issues encountered during z/OSMF usage.

Who Should Use This Document

This guide is intended for individuals responsible for setting up z/OSMF on a z/OS system and for diagnosing any problems that may arise with the product. Familiarity with the z/OS operating system and its associated products is assumed.

For ServerPac installers, a base configuration is established via a ServerPac post-installation job using IBM defaults. Optional plug-ins like Configuration Assistant and Incident Log are not included by default. Additional plug-ins can be added to z/OSMF post-installation as detailed within this document.

If z/OSMF is installed from a Custom-Built Product Delivery Option (CBPDO) or via a ServerPac upgrade, a z/OSMF instance must be manually created using the planning and configuration details provided herein.
