To ensure reliable and safe operation, please read all instructions, especially the safety information below.

Electrical Safety

  • Connect the TV only to a main power supply matching the product's label.
  • To prevent overload, do not share the power supply socket with too many other electronic components.
  • Do not place connecting wires where they can be stepped on or tripped over.
  • Do not place heavy items on wires, as this may damage them.
  • Hold the main plug, not the wires, when removing from a socket.
  • During thunderstorms or extended periods of non-use, turn off the power switch on the back of the television.
  • Do not allow water or moisture to enter the TV or power adapter. Do NOT use in wet or moist areas.
  • Pull the plug out immediately and seek professional help if the main plug or cable is damaged, liquid is spilled on the set, it is exposed to water or moisture, anything penetrates the ventilation slots, or the set does not work normally.
  • Do not remove safety covers; there are no user-serviceable parts inside. Servicing by unqualified personnel is dangerous and may invalidate the warranty.
  • To avoid battery leakage, remove exhausted batteries from the remote control when not in use for a long period.
  • Do not break open or throw exhausted batteries into a fire.

Physical Safety

  • Do not block ventilation slots in the back cover. Ensure at least 5cm (2") clearance all around if placing the TV in a cabinet.
  • Do not tap or shake the TV screen, as this may damage internal circuits. Take good care of the remote control.
  • Clean the TV with a soft dry cloth. Do not use solvents or petroleum-based fluids.
  • Do not install near heat sources.
  • Do not defeat the safety purpose of polarized or grounding-type plugs. Consult an electrician for outlet replacement if the plug does not fit.
  • Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched.
  • Unplug the apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods.
  • Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.
  • Always connect your television to a power outlet with protective ground connection.

Preparations

What is Included?

  • TV Set: A 32-inch HD Digital LCD TV, model ELCFW329, with a black bezel and stand.
  • Remote Control with Batteries: A remote control with numerous buttons including a numeric keypad, navigation controls (Up, Down, Left, Right, OK, Menu, Exit), source selection, volume, channel, power, mute, and multimedia playback controls. It requires batteries.

Front View

The front of the TV features a screen. On the right side, there are physical buttons:

  • Power/Standby [⏻]: Switch the TV between On / Standby mode.
  • SOURCE: Press to select among different input signal sources.
  • MENU: Display the OSD (on-screen display) menu.
  • CH [▲/▼]: Press to select a channel.
  • VOL [+/-]: Press to adjust the volume.

A blue LED indicator light is present, indicating when the LCD TV is activated. An IR (Infrared Receiver) is also located on the front.

Rear View

The rear panel features various input and output ports:

Wall Mounting

The TV is provided with mounting holes for a VESA approved wall mounting bracket (Not Supplied). To mount, remove the screws holding the base to the base bracket and lift the base away (do not remove the base mounting brackets). Mount the VESA bracket using 4*M5*20 isometric threaded screws (Not Supplied). Do not use screws longer than 20mm, as this may damage internal parts.

Note: Your new TV is heavy; please consult with a professional wall mount installer to perform this installation.

Remote Control

The remote control has the following buttons and functions:

  • Power Button [⏻]: Switches the TV between on and standby mode.
  • Numeric Buttons (0-9): Select a program or enter channel numbers.

Note on Remote Control: If there is light around the TV, the remote may malfunction. Remove batteries when not in use for extended periods. Ensure batteries are installed correctly and do not mix old/new or different battery types.

Connecting External Devices

Operating Your TV

Turning On/Off Your TV

  • Connect the power cord to the power socket after completing all physical connections. The TV will enter Standby Mode, indicated by a red LED.
  • In Standby Mode, press the Power/Standby button [⏻] on the main unit or remote control to turn the TV on. The red LED will turn blue.

Note: The Power button switches the TV to standby. To completely turn off the TV, disconnect the power cord from the socket.

Setup Wizard

The first time you turn the TV on, it will launch the Setup Wizard. Use the navigation buttons [▲/▼/◄/►] to select options and press [OK] to confirm.

  • Menu Language: Select the desired language for on-screen menus (default is English).
  • Air/Cable: Select the antenna type (Air or Cable).
  • Cable System: Select the cable system (Auto, STD, IRC, HRC) if Cable is chosen.
  • Auto Scan: Searches and stores available channels automatically.

Selecting the Input Source

Press the SOURCE button on the main unit or remote control to display the Input Source list. Use the navigation buttons [▲/▼] to select the desired input source (TV, AV, Component, HDMI1, HDMI2, HDMI3, VGA, USB) and press [OK] to confirm.

Channel Selection

  • Press the CH+/- buttons repeatedly to select the channel.
  • Press the numeric buttons (0-9) on the remote control to select a channel directly (e.g., press "4" then [OK] for channel 4; press "4", "5" then [OK] for channel 45; press "1", "2", "3" then [OK] for channel 123).

Volume Adjustment

  • Press the VOL+/- buttons to adjust the volume.
  • Press the MUTE button [?] to mute the sound, and press it again or VOL+ to resume.

Customizing TV Settings

Navigating the On-screen Display

Press the MENU button to display the main menu. Use the navigation buttons [▲/▼/◄/►] to navigate and select available menus and options.

The OSD displays sections for Picture, Audio, Time, Setup, Lock, and Channel, with various sub-options.

Picture Settings

Access the PICTURE menu via MENU, then use navigation buttons to select and adjust picture options:

  • Picture Mode: Cycle through Standard, Dynamic, Movie, Natural, User modes. Alternatively, use the P.MODE button.
  • Contrast: Adjust the difference between light and dark levels (For User mode).
  • Brightness: Increase or decrease the amount of white in the picture (For User mode).
  • Color: Control color intensity (For User mode).
  • Tint: Adjust the balance between red and green levels.
  • Sharpness: Adjust the level of crispness in edges (For User mode).
  • Color Temperature: Cycle through Cool, Normal, Warm settings.
  • Blue Screen: Turn the blue background On/Off during weak or no signal conditions.

Audio Settings

Access the AUDIO menu via MENU, then use navigation buttons to select and adjust audio options:

  • Sound Mode: Select audio enhancement techniques (Standard, Music, Movie, User). Alternatively, use the S.MODE button.
  • Bass: Control the intensity of lower-pitched sounds (For User mode).
  • Treble: Control the intensity of higher-pitched sounds (For User mode).
  • Balance: Adjust audio output between left and right speakers.
  • Surround Sound: Provides an enhanced listening experience.
  • Auto Volume: Automatically controls volume levels.
  • SPDIF Mode: Select digital audio output mode (RAW/PCM).
  • Audio Language: Select audio language (English, French, Spanish).

Time Settings

Access the TIME menu via MENU, then use navigation buttons to select and adjust time options:

  • Sleep Timer: Set a period after which the TV automatically switches to standby (Off, 5/10/.../180/240 min). Alternatively, use the SLEEP button.
  • Time Zone: Select a Time Zone (Pacific, Alaska, Hawaii, Eastern, Central, Mountain).
  • Daylight Saving Time: Turn daylight saving time On/Off.
  • Clock: Displays the current date and time.

Setup Menu

Access the SETUP menu via MENU, then use navigation buttons to select and adjust setup options:

  • Menu Language: Select menu language (English, Français, Español).
  • Transparency: Turn transparency function On/Off.
  • Zoom Mode: Select zoom mode (Normal, Wide, Zoom, Cinema).
  • Noise Reduction: Reduce noise level (Off, Weak, Middle, Strong).
  • Advanced: Adjust PC desktop content (H-POS, V-POS, Clock, Phase) in VGA source mode.
  • Closed Caption: Turn closed captioning On/Off, select analog/digital modes, or personalize captioning style. Options include CC Mode (On, Off, CC on Mute), Basic Selection (analog modes CC1-CC4, Text1-Text4), Advanced Selection (digital modes Service1-6), and Option (personalize style).
  • DLC: Turn dynamic luminance control On/Off.
  • Restore Default: Restore TV to factory default settings (except lock settings).

Lock Settings

Access the LOCK menu via MENU. Enter the 4-digit password (default "0000"). Use navigation buttons to select and adjust options:

  • Change Password: Input old password, then new password twice for confirmation.
  • System Lock: Turn system lock On/Off. Access to US, Canada, RRT Setting, and Reset RRT options requires System Lock to be On.
  • TV Rating: Press [OK] to lock or unlock TV ratings.
  • US Ratings: Select MPAA rating (N/A, G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17, X).
  • Canada Ratings: Select ratings for English-speaking Canada (E, C, C8+, G, PG, 14+, 18+) and French-speaking Quebec (G, 8 ans+, 13 ans+, 16 ans+, 18 ans+).
  • RRT Setting: Set Rating Region Table.
  • Reset RRT: Reset the RRT setting.
  • Clear Lock: Clear all lock settings.

Parental Control

Parental Control allows blocking undesirable programming based on user-defined ratings. It can restrict programming for general audiences and children. Ratings are based on age.

  • MPAA Rating System: G (General Audiences), PG (Parental Guidance Suggested), PG-13 (Parents Strongly Cautioned), R (Restricted), NC-17 (No children under 17), X (Hard Core Films), No Rating (MPAA Not Rated).
  • TV Parental Guideline Rating System: TV-Y (All Children), TV-Y7 (Directed to Older Children), TV-G (General Audience), TV-PG (Parental Guidance Suggested), TV-14 (Parents Strongly Cautioned), TV-MA (Mature Audience Only).
  • Canadian Rating: Includes English and French ratings for Canada.

Note: The V-Chip can block categories. Blocking a lower category may automatically block higher categories.

Channel Settings

Access the CHANNEL menu via MENU, then use navigation buttons to select and adjust channel options:

  • Air/Cable: Select antenna type (Air or Cable).
  • Auto Scan: Finds and stores channels automatically. If Cable is selected, you can choose the Cable System (Auto/STD/IRC/HRC) before scanning. If Air is selected, it proceeds directly to auto scan.
  • Favorite: Set the selected channel as a favorite.
  • Show/Hide: Show or hide the selected channel.
  • Channel No.: Displays the current channel number.
  • Channel Label: Displays the current channel label.
  • DTV Signal: Displays the quality of the current DTV signal.

USB Multimedia

Listening to Music

Press the SOURCE button, select USB mode, then select MUSIC. Supported file format is MP3.

Viewing Pictures

Press the SOURCE button, select USB mode, then select PHOTO. Supported file format is JPEG. You can select background music to play while viewing photos; music and photo files should be in the same folder.

Operation Tips:

  • [▶️ / ||]: Play or pause music/photo.
  • [■]: Stop music or photo playback.
  • [⏪]: Play previous track or view previous photo.
  • [⏩]: Play next track or view next photo.
  • Speed Up: Press to speed up backward.
  • Speed Up: Press to speed up forward.
  • [?] REPEAT: Select different repeat mode.

Troubleshooting

If the TV does not operate normally or cannot be turned on, check the following:

  • Check power connection.
  • No broadcast on tuned station.
Picture appears slowly after switching onThis is normal during startup. Contact service if picture does not appear after 5 minutes.
Poor color or picture
  • Adjust color in Menu.
  • Ensure sufficient distance between product and VCR.
  • Try another channel.
  • Check VIDEO cable installation.
  • Activate a function to restore brightness.
Horizontal/vertical bars or picture shakingCheck for local interference (e.g., electrical appliance).
Blue screenPress SOURCE button to select correct source.
Poor reception on some channels
  • Station or cable issues. Tune to another station.
  • Station signal is weak; reorient antenna.

Maintenance

Regular cleaning can extend the TV's lifespan. Ensure the TV is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.

Clean the screen

Dust off the screen with a soft cloth dampened with lukewarm water and a little fabric softener or dishwashing detergent. Wring the cloth until almost dry. Wipe the screen, ensure excess water is removed, and let it air-dry before turning the TV on.

Cleaning the cabinet

Wipe the cabinet with a soft, dry, line-free cloth to remove dirt or dust. Do not use a wet cloth.
