Comments on Child Occupant Protection
The child seat for the 3-year-old was installed forward facing using the ISOFIX anchorages and prevented forward movement during the frontal impact within the allowed limits. The Q1.5, installed rearward facing using ISOFIX, also provided good protection during the frontal impact. Both child dummies were well protected in the side impact. All assessed CRSs passed installation checks. The car's markings and instructions for CRS and ISOFIX use were clear and precise. The passenger airbag disabling switch had clear instructions. The Golf is equipped with 3-point belts in all seating positions, meeting international standards. ISOFIX anchorages with top tethers are present in both rear outboard seating positions. These factors contribute to the five-star rating for Child Occupant Protection.
