Quick Start Guide

Setup Overview

Refer to your User's Manual for full system instructions and information.

For iPhone ?: Download FreeStyle Libre 2 from the App Store.

For Android ?: Download FreeStyle Libre 2 from Google Play Store.

Note: Codes on labels must match.

After the start-up period, you can use the App to check your glucose.

1 Assemble and Apply Sensor to the back of your upper arm

Get Ready

Step 1: Select site on back of upper arm. Avoid scars, moles, stretch marks, lumps, and insulin injection sites. Rotate sites between applications to prevent skin irritation.

Step 2: Wash the site with plain soap, dry it, and clean with an alcohol wipe. Allow the site to air dry.

Prepare Sensor Applicator

Step 3: Peel the lid completely off the Sensor Pack [Sensor Pack]. Unscrew the cap from the Sensor Applicator [Sensor Applicator]. CAUTION: Ensure the Sensor codes match on the Sensor Pack and Sensor Applicator to avoid incorrect glucose readings.

Step 4: Align the dark mark on the Sensor Applicator with the dark mark on the Sensor Pack. On a hard surface, press down firmly on the Sensor Applicator until it stops.

Step 5: Lift the Sensor Applicator out of the Sensor Pack.

Step 6: The Sensor Applicator is now ready to apply the Sensor. CAUTION: The Sensor Applicator contains a needle [Needle]. Do not touch the inside of the Sensor Applicator or reinsert it into the Sensor Pack.

Apply Sensor

Step 7: Place the Sensor Applicator over the prepared site and push down firmly to apply the Sensor. CAUTION: Do not press the Sensor Applicator until it is positioned over the prepared site to prevent injury.

Step 8: Gently pull the Sensor Applicator away from your body.

Step 9: Ensure the Sensor is secure. Dispose of the used Sensor Applicator and Sensor Pack according to local regulations.

2 Set up App

Step 1: Ensure your smartphone ? is connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data. Tap 'Sign In' or 'GET STARTED NOW'. Review legal information and follow instructions to set up or log in to your LibreView account.

Step 2: Enter your personal settings. Tap 'NEXT' on each screen.

Step 3: Review important information, accept permissions, and tap 'NEXT' until you reach the 'Scan New Sensor' screen.

3 Use the App to scan your Sensor

How to Scan

iPhone: Tap the scan button ?. Hold the top of your iPhone near the Sensor until you receive a tone or vibration.

Android: Hold the back of your Android phone near the Sensor until you receive two tones or vibrations.

Step 1: Scan your Sensor to begin. Note: Choose your device before starting the Sensor. If you start the Sensor with the App, you cannot use a separate Reader for glucose checks or alarms.

Step 2: The Sensor can check your glucose after its start-up period. You can navigate away from the App while the Sensor is starting.

Step 3: Scan your Sensor to view your glucose reading.

Alarms with a FreeStyle Libre 2 Sensor

Alarms are enabled by default. Follow these steps to change settings or turn them off.

IMPORTANT: Glucose alarms are a critical safety feature. Consult your healthcare professional before making any changes.

Setting Alarms

Step 1: Low Glucose Alarm (Fixed): Notifies you when glucose is below 55 mg/dL. This alarm cannot be modified or turned off.

Step 2: Low Glucose Alarm (Customizable): Notifies you when glucose falls below your set level.

Step 3: High Glucose Alarm: Notifies you when glucose rises above your set level.

Signal Loss Alarm ?: Alerts you when the Sensor is not communicating with the App, meaning you won't receive Low or High Glucose Alarms.

Using Alarms

To change alarm settings:

To dismiss an alarm, swipe or tap. You must scan your Sensor to view your glucose reading.

The ? symbol indicates that alarms are unavailable. Scan your Sensor.
