PatrolEyes LITE User Manual
Overview
This section provides a visual breakdown of the PatrolEyes LITE body camera components.
Front View
The front of the camera features:
- Lens: The primary optical component for capturing video.
- Mic: Microphone for audio recording.
- Power / Record Button: The main button for powering the device on/off and starting/stopping video recording.
- WiFi / Photo / Stealth Mode Button: Used for WiFi activation, taking photos, and entering stealth mode.
- IR Sensor: Detects infrared light for night vision capabilities.
- IR LED: Infrared light-emitting diodes for night vision.
Back View
The back of the camera includes:
- Reset Button: Used for troubleshooting and resetting the device.
- 360° Clip: A clip designed for secure attachment to uniforms or gear.
Top View
The top of the camera displays indicators:
- Activity Indicator: Shows the operational status of the camera (e.g., recording).
- Charging/WiFi Indicator: Displays charging status and WiFi connectivity.
Bottom View
The bottom of the camera has the connection port:
- Charging/Data Dock Port: Connects to the charging dock for power and data transfer.
Charging & Data Transferring
The camera can be charged and data transferred using the included drop-in dock. Connect the dock to an electrical outlet and your PC via USB. Place the camera into the dock to initiate charging and data transfer.

Before Use
Charging: Fully charge the camera using the USB cable and charging dock for 3-4 hours. The charging indicator light will turn blue while charging and turn off when fully charged.
Device Setup: Confirm the date and time are correct on your device. Enter your device ID and badge ID through the Cam Manager software.
Wearing your Body Camera Properly
On your chest (uniform):
- Attach the camera clip to the front of your uniform.
- Rotate the clip to secure it to the top of your uniform.
On your shoulder:
- Use the optional epaulette mount. Clip the camera to the mount's bracket and attach the mount to your uniform.
KlickFast Mounts
Optional magnet, molle, and epaulette mounts are available.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues, first fully charge and power on the camera. Then, press the reset button to force a shutdown. Press the power button again to turn it back on. This process should resolve most operational problems.
Note: Resetting the device will not delete any files.
Getting Started
Basic Operation
- Press and hold the main video record button for approximately 2 seconds. You will hear a chime, and the camera will power on. A green indicator light on top will illuminate, indicating standby mode.
- Device settings, battery life, storage space, and saved media files can be accessed and managed via the Cam Manager software (see page 8) or the smartphone app (see page 27). The smartphone app also allows for live preview.
- To power off the device when not recording, press and hold the Power button for about 2 seconds. A sound will confirm the shutdown, and the green indicator light will turn off.
- After installing Cam Manager, log in and select "Open File Explorer" to view or delete camera files. The camera will appear as a "Removable Disk" (usually drive D: or E:). Navigate to the DCIM\100MEDIA folder to view, transfer, and delete files.
Audible Notifications
The camera uses audio chirps to notify you of various events:
- 1 beep every 10 seconds: Storage is below 10% free, and the green indicator blinks.
- 1 beep every 2 seconds: Storage is almost full, and recording will stop soon.
- 1 beep every 5 seconds: Battery is below 2%, and the camera will shut down soon.
- 2 beeps: Bluetooth has been successfully paired.
- 4 beeps: Bluetooth has been disconnected.
LED Indicators
Standby/WiFi:
- Green: Standby mode.
- Blinking White: Searching for or establishing WiFi connection.
- Solid White: WiFi connected and active.
Charging/Activity:
- Blue: Charging (turns off when fully charged).
- Purple: Recording and Charging.
- Solid Red: Recording.
- Blinking Red: Pre/Post Event recording.
Recording
Video Recording
To record video, press the Record button on the front of the device. The device will emit 5 audio chirps, and the red indicator LED will turn on, signifying recording has started. Press and hold the Record button for approximately 3 seconds to stop recording. The device will beep 7 times, the red indicator will turn green, and the video will be saved. The camera will then return to standby mode.
Photograph Feature
a. To take photos, press the WiFi/Photo button. The camera will emit 3 audio chirps and capture a photo.
b. To take pictures while recording video, press the Photo button; this will not interrupt the video recording.
Pre and Post Recording
When pre or post event recording is enabled, the activity LED will blink red. Pre-record events can be set for up to two minutes, and post-record events for up to one minute. To start normal recording during pre-event mode, press the record button; the activity LED will change from blinking red to solid red.
Power on Auto-Record
If the "Power on Auto-Record" function is enabled in Cam Manager, the device will automatically start recording video upon powering on, without needing to press the record button.
More Features
WiFi Feature
WiFi can be activated manually via Cam Manager. When powered on, you can toggle WiFi on or off without interruption, even during recording. Press and hold the photo button for about 3 seconds to turn WiFi on; a flashing white LED indicates connection searching. A solid white LED means the connection is established. To turn WiFi off, press and hold the photo button for 3 seconds until the white LED turns off.
Stealth Mode Feature
Stealth Mode can be set to ON via Cam Manager. When powered on, you can enable or disable stealth mode without interruption, even during recording. To enter stealth mode, double-press the photo button. All LED indicators and vibration sounds will be disabled, but the device will continue operating. To exit stealth mode, double-press the photo button; the camera will beep twice, and indicators/vibration will be re-enabled.
Cam Manager-Login
Transfer & Manage Files on Your Computer
Compatibility: Windows 7, 8, 10, and 11.
Connect your camera to your computer via the included USB cable after placing it in the charging station. Open Cam Manager and enter your password to sign in (see page 9 for instructions).
Note: Installing Cam Manager allows for managing saved data and changing device settings.
Cam Manager Login
Visit www.stuntcams.com/lite to download the "Cam Manager" software. Follow the on-screen instructions to install it on your computer.
a. Place your camera in the charging station and connect it to your computer via USB. The camera will power on automatically upon connection.

Cam Manager-Camera Info
After logging in, Cam Manager opens to the "Camera Info" tab.
User Types
Choose a "User Type" and enter the password. Two types are available:
- General User: Allows viewing and downloading media files only. Default password:
000000
. - Administrator: Allows changing device settings, viewing, and downloading media files. Default password:
888888
.
Camera Info Tab Details
From this tab, you can:
- Change Device ID and User ID.
- View battery level and free space on the camera. Enter new settings and click "Apply" to save.
- Click "Refresh" to update battery levels and free space.
- Click "Open File Explorer" to view camera files. Cam Manager will close, and the camera's "Removable Disk" will appear in File Explorer. Navigate to the VIDEO/PHOTO folder to view, transfer, and delete files.
- Click "Sync PC Date Time" to update your camera's date and time to match your PC's.
- Click "Default Settings" to reset your camera's settings.
- Click "Format Disk" to format the camera's memory. All files will be DELETED immediately, and free space will be updated.
Additional Information
- MAC Address: Displays the unique ID of your device.
- Firmware Version: Shows the current firmware programmed on your device.
- Battery Left: Indicates the remaining battery life.
- Free Space: Shows the remaining storage capacity on the camera.

Cam Manager-Camera Settings
Access the "Camera Settings" tab in Cam Manager to adjust various device parameters.
Watermark
Entering text in the watermark setting box will stamp it in the lower right-hand corner of any photo or video file.
Resolution
Choose from six video resolution settings:
- 2560x1440p@30fps
- 1920x1080p @60fps
- 1920x1080p @30fps
- 1280x720p @60fps
- 1280x720p @30fps
- 848x480p @30fps
Select your preferred resolution and click "Apply" to save.
Streaming Resolution
Choose from three streaming resolution settings for WiFi transmission:
- 1280x720p @30fps
- 848x480p @30fps
- 432x240p @30fps
Select your preferred resolution and click "Apply" to save.
Note: Streaming Resolution affects the video quality transmitted to the WiFi app.
Streaming Control
Choose from six settings for streaming control:
- OFF
- Audio
- Video
- AV (audio & video)
- Text
- ALL
Select your preferred setting and click "Apply" to save.
Note: This option controls the file type streamed via WiFi.
Recording Notification
Configure audio notifications for recording status with six interval options:
- Off
- 5 seconds
- 10 seconds
- 15 seconds
- 30 seconds
- 60 seconds
Select your preferred interval and click "Apply" to save.
Note: Recording prompts are audio notifications at specified intervals; they do not affect start/end recording notifications.
Post Record
Configure post-recording buffer time with six options:
- Off
- 5 seconds
- 10 seconds
- 20 seconds
- 30 seconds
- 60 seconds
Select your preferred setting and click "Apply" to save.
Picture Size
Choose from six picture size options:
- 40M
- 30M
- 16M
- 12M
- 8M
- 4M
Select your preferred size and click "Apply" to save.
Burst Mode
Configure burst shooting with eight options:
- Off
- 2 pictures
- 3 pictures
- 5 pictures
- 10 pictures
- 15 pictures
- 20 pictures
- 30 pictures
Select your preferred setting and click "Apply" to save.
Timezone
Select the correct UTC time zone. The GPS will adjust the date and time accordingly (e.g., New York City is UTC-4.0).
Date Format
Choose from three date format options:
- YYYY-MM-DD
- DD-MM-YYYY
- MM-DD-YYYY
Select your preferred format and click "Apply" to save.
Mute Recording
Configure audio recording:
- Off: Audio will be recorded.
- On: Mute function enabled, audio will NOT be recorded.
- Pre recorded: Audio will NOT be recorded for pre-record files only.
Auto IR
Control the device's infrared LEDs with three settings:
- Off
- During Recording
- Auto (recommended)
Select your preferred setting and click "Apply" to save.
Quality
Choose from three quality settings:
- High
- Medium
- Low
Select your preferred setting and click "Apply" to save.
Note: This refers to video bitrate. Higher settings improve quality but increase file size. Low settings optimize battery life.
Streaming Bitrate
Choose from seven streaming bitrate options (Kbs):
- 5000
- 4000
- 3000
- 2000
- 1000
- 500
- 300
Select your preferred setting and click "Apply" to save.
Note: Streaming Bitrate affects WiFi stream quality. Higher values increase quality.
Video Splitter
Configure video segment length with five options:
- 2 minutes
- 5 minutes
- 10 minutes
- 15 minutes
- 30 minutes
Note: This setting determines the length of each video segment before a new file is created. It does not stop recording.
Web Server
Configure web server access with four options:
- Off
- Http
- Https (recommended)
- Http & Https
Select your preferred setting and click "Apply" to save.
Note: Recorded files can be browsed via the camera's web server when WiFi is on.
Pre Record
Enable pre-recording buffer with two options:
- Off
- On
When enabled, the camera records prior to the record button press, up to 120 seconds, depending on video settings. Higher resolution may reduce pre-record length.
Select your preferred setting and click "Apply" to save.
Picture Quality
Choose from three picture quality settings:
- High
- Medium
- Low
Select your preferred setting and click "Apply" to save.
Speaker Volume
Set the speaker volume from 0 (mute) to 10 (loudest).
Refresh Rate
Choose from three refresh rate settings:
- 60 Hz
- 50 Hz
- Auto
Select your preferred setting and click "Apply" to save.
Auto Power Off
Configure automatic power off after inactivity with seven options:
- Off
- 30 seconds
- 1 minute
- 3 minutes
- 5 minutes
- 10 minutes
- 30 minutes
Select your preferred setting and click "Apply" to save.
Note: Auto Power Off only functions when the device is in standby mode.
Encoding Format
Choose from two encoding format options:
- H264
- H265
Select your preferred setting and click "Apply" to save.
LED Light
Enable or disable the top LED indicator lights. When checked, LEDs are enabled and turn ON during video recording.
Power on Record
Enable this option to allow the device to start recording automatically upon powering on without pressing the record button.
Vibration
Toggle vibration alerts on or off.
Car Mode
Enable this option for the camera to automatically power on and start recording when connected to power.

Cam Manager-WiFi&Bluetooth
Access the "WiFi&Bluetooth" tab in Cam Manager to configure wireless settings.
Network Setting
This feature allows connection to a private server using specific protocols.
WiFi Modes
Select one of three modes to configure your WiFi connection:
- AP (Access Point): The LITE creates a WiFi network for other devices (e.g., a laptop) to connect to. You can set SSID, Password, Connection Limit, Frequency, Range, and Channel.
- STA (Station): The camera connects to an existing WiFi network (e.g., your home router). Input the router's SSID and related information. The WiFi indicator shows connection status (flashing white for connecting, steady white for connected).
- P2P (Peer-to-Peer): Enables WIFI Direct Connection. Use the PIN CODE for syncing multiple cameras.
Select your preferred mode and click "Apply" to save.

Cam Manager-AES256 Encryption
Bluetooth
Click "Activate" to configure Bluetooth connection. Specified Bluetooth accessories are required.
AES256 Encryption
AES256 Encryption enhances file security. When enabled, a specified player is needed to browse content. Access this via the "AES256 Encryption" tab in Cam Manager.
Data Encryption
Choose from four data encryption options:
- Off: Do not encrypt files.
- File Encryption: Encrypt local files only.
- Streaming Encryption: Encrypt WiFi streaming files only.
- Both: Encrypt local and WiFi streaming files.
Select your preferred option and click "Apply" to save.
AES Key
Fill out the 32-character key to encrypt files.

Cam Manager-Change Password
Access the "Change Password" tab in Cam Manager to manage device passwords.
From this screen, select the user type for which you wish to change the password. Enter the current admin password, then enter the new password for the selected user type, and confirm it. Click "Apply" to save the new password.
Note: Passwords can only be changed while logged in as the admin. The admin password is always required for changes.

WiFi APP-FN Cam
FN Cam APP Installation
Download the "FN Cam" app from your mobile device's app store.
Connecting to the Camera
Set WiFi to AP mode. Press and hold the photo button for about 3 seconds after powering on the camera. A steady white WiFi indicator signifies WiFi is ON. The WiFi SSID and password can be found in Cam Manager; the default WiFi password is 12345678
.
On your mobile device, tap "Select Camera". Find the camera's SSID (which includes the last 6 characters of the MAC address) and enter the password to connect to the network created by the camera.
Recommendation: It is strongly recommended to change the WiFi password immediately via Cam Manager for enhanced security if you plan to use the WiFi option.
Open the FN Cam app on your mobile device.

Using the FN Cam App
Once connected, go back to the FN Cam App and tap "Open Camera" to connect to your camera. You will see a connection status message.
After successful connection, you can view the camera's livestream.
Refer to www.stuntcams.com/lite for advanced instructions on connecting via the app.
- To start/stop recording, tap the middle Record icon.
- To change mode or settings, tap the lower right Settings icon.
- To view recorded videos, tap the lower left Gallery icon.
File Management
From the app, you can select folders to review, download, or delete video/photo files located in DCIM/100MEDIA.
To restrict user privileges:
- Keep the WiFi function disabled in Cam Manager.
- Change the WiFi password so only an administrator can use it.

Review Files via Web Browser
You can access and manage camera files through a web browser.
Connecting via AP Mode
Set WiFi to AP mode. Press and hold the photo button for about 3 seconds after powering on the camera. A steady white WiFi indicator means WiFi is ON. The WiFi SSID and password are in Cam Manager (default password: 12345678
).
On your PC, connect to the WiFi network created by the camera (SSID includes the last 6 characters of the MAC address). Click "Connect using a security key instead" and enter the password.

Accessing Files
Find the default camera IP address on Cam Manager. Fill out https://192.168.42.1
in your web browser's address bar.
Log in using the username "admin" and the default password 888888
(same as the Cam Manager administrator password).
Once logged in, you will see a list of folders. Click on a folder name to access files. Videos and photos are saved in the DCIM/100MEDIA directory.

Playback and Download
Click the file name to play it in a new tab. Right-click on the played file and select "Save image/video as..." to download it to your computer. VLC media player is recommended for playback.

Drop-in Charging Station and Accessories
Drop-in Charging Station
The included drop-in charging station allows you to charge the camera and transfer data to your PC. Plug in the charger, connect the USB cable to the dock (the blue light will turn on), and insert the camera until it clicks. The camera will power on and begin charging.
