bopmen CAN HELP!
Model: Y71-M
Problem: Laptop/PC doesn't detect headphones or headphone doesn't pair with my laptop/PC
Solution:
-
Check the audio jack: Connect your headphones to another device and verify if they are working normally.
Diagram Description: An illustration shows headphones with a single audio jack. One depiction shows the jack being plugged into a device with a red 'X' symbol, indicating an issue. Another depiction shows the jack plugged in correctly with a green checkmark symbol, indicating success.
-
Check Sound Settings in Windows: If your laptop can detect headphones using another device for audio output, follow these steps to set your headphones as the default sound output device.
- Press Windows key + I to open Settings.
- Navigate to System.
- From the left-hand menu, select Sound.
- Under the Output section, use the drop-down menu to select your headphones as the output device.
Diagram Description: A screenshot of the Windows Sound Settings panel is shown. It displays options to 'Choose your output device' with 'Speakers (High Definition Audio Device)' currently selected. The volume slider is visible, and a 'Troubleshoot' button is present. The 'Input' section shows microphone settings.
-
Update Drivers: Windows 10 might fail to detect your headphones due to an outdated or corrupt driver. Please update your audio drivers.
-
Turn Off Audio Enhancements: Some sound cards may not function correctly if Windows sound enhancements are enabled. To disable them:
- Right-click on the volume icon on the taskbar and select Sound to open the Sound dialog.
- Select your headphones from the list of playback devices.
- Click Properties.
- Navigate to the Advanced tab.
- Uncheck the box for Enable audio enhancements.
- Click Apply, then OK to save the changes.
Diagram Description: Two screenshots are provided. The first shows the Windows Sound playback devices list, with 'Headphones' selected and its 'Properties' option highlighted. The second screenshot shows the 'Speakers Properties' window, specifically the 'Advanced' tab, with the 'Disable all enhancements' option checked and other enhancement options like 'Bass Management', 'Speaker Fill', 'Room Correction', and 'Loudness Equalization' listed.
Problem: Can not connect mic and audio into my laptop at the same time
Solution:
Please confirm if your computer has two separate audio jacks: one for the microphone and one for headphones. If your computer has only one combined jack, you may need to use a splitter cable (often included in the box) to connect both the microphone and audio simultaneously.
Diagram Description: An illustration depicts a desktop computer tower with multiple ports. One diagram shows a single audio jack on the computer being connected to a headphone plug with a single connector, marked with a red 'X' symbol. Another diagram shows a desktop computer tower with two separate audio jacks (one typically pink for mic, one green for headphones) being connected via a dual 3.5mm splitter cable to the headphone's combined connector, marked with a green checkmark symbol.
