Dirty Diesel Customs 2011-2019 Powerstroke FTP SOTF Switch Installation Instructions
This document provides step-by-step instructions for installing the Fuel Temperature (FTP) SOTF Switch on 2011-2019 Ford Powerstroke diesel trucks manufactured by Dirty Diesel Customs.
Note: A grommet is recommended for running wires through the firewall.
Step 1: Firewall Wire Routing
On the driver's side of the truck, to the left of the pedals, carefully cut a small slit in the firewall grommet. Thread the SOTF wires through the firewall. Exercise caution to avoid damaging any existing wires in the harness.

Step 2: Disconnect Fuel Temperature Sensor
Locate the fuel temperature sensor and its harness on the left side of the engine, near the fuel filter. Unplug the sensor and harness.

Connector Types:
- 2015-2019 Connector: A five-wire connector.
- 2011-2014 Connector: A two-wire connector, located in the same general area.

Ensure the SOTF wires are installed in the same positions as depicted in the relevant connector image.
Step 3: Connect SOTF Switch Wires
Install the SOTF wires into the provided connector, matching the positions of the factory harness wires (specifically the green and green/white wires). Connect the SOTF connector to the factory harness. Polarity is not critical for this switch installation.
The factory fuel temperature sensor should be left disconnected (open).
- 2015-2019 Models: The three unused holes in the connector should remain empty.
- 2011-2014 Models: Both available holes in the connector are utilized.

Switch Adjustment Note: The switch has 12 positions. If more than 5 positions are present after installation, remove the nut and locking washer. Turn the switch counter-clockwise from the numbered positions, then reinstall the locking washer into position 5 and reassemble.

Step 4: Mount the Switch and Finalize Wiring
Select a suitable location to mount the SOTF switch, which may vary depending on the specific truck model. After the switch is mounted, install wiring loom over any exposed wires and secure all wiring neatly using zip ties or similar fasteners.
