DocumentDocumentSOUNDBAR 2 CHANNEL WITH SUB XC5235 INSTRUCTION MANUAL Table of Contents Safety Information 3 Getting to Know Your Soundbar 4 Using your Soundbar 5 What's In the Box 7 Technical Information 7 2 SAFETY INFORMATION Power Source · This appliance must be connected to a 15V/2A DC adaptor. · Unplug this sound bar during lighting storms or when used for long periods of time to prevent damage to this product. · Opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltages or other hazards. · To prevent risk of fire or electric shock, avoid overloading wall outlets, extension cords, or integral convenience receptacles. · In order to disconnect the sound bar from the mains completely, switch off the outlet and remove the mains plug completely. · Do not bend, stretch or pull the supply cable in order to avoid electric shock. · When installed, the power socket must be within easy reach. · Do not install the unit in a confined space. Allow adequate ventilation to prevent heat build-up. Heats build up During use the sound bar will heat up, this is not a malfunction. If the unit is used continuously at high volume levels, the unit temperature will rise considerably. Do not touch the unit to avoid potential burns. Moisture and water · Do not use this sound bar near water or moisture. · Do not use this product near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, and laundry tub, in a wet basement, or anywhere else that water or moisture is present. Heat source and flames · No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the sound bar · Attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal; · Batteries shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the lake · To prevent risk of fire of electric shock, avoid overloading wall outlets, extension cords, or integral convenience receptacles 3 GETTING TO KNOW YOUR SOUNDBAR Soundbar with subwoofer 1 1. Install the remote batteries 4 USING YOUR SOUNDBAR General Operation 1. Connect the DC adaptor to the unit and wall outlet, the unit will power on and switch to Bluetooth mode. The display will lights up. Press and hold Power button to enter standby mode. 2. Press the Power button repeatedly to switch to desired mode: Bluetooth/Aux in/ Optical/HDMI-ARC. 3. During Playback: - Adjust the Volume button to select the volume level as desired. - Press the EQ button to set EQ (equalizers) mode as desired: EQ0~EQ9 4. When finished listening, press the Power button switch to standby. Note: if no source is played, the unit will go to standby mode automatically after 20 minutes (approximately) Bluetooth Mode Before you can use the soundbar with your phone or your other Bluetooth device, you will need to pair the device to the soundbar. Pairing a Bluetooth device · Press Power/Mode button and you will see "bt" appears on display. · Enable the Bluetooth function on your audio device and search for a device labeled "XC5235" in the available list. · Select and enable pairing for the"XC5235" device. If prompted for a password enter `0000' · If pairing is successful, you will hear a prompt voice. · If the connected device goes out of range, the unit will attempt to connect. When the device comes into range, the unit will reconnect again automatically. · Hold Play/Pause button or UNPAIR button on remote control to disconnect Bluetooth. Notes: Only one Bluetooth device can be paired at a time. Not all Bluetooth devices are compatible. Aux Mode · Press Power/Mode and you will see "AU" appears on display. · Connect the analogue earphone output from a smartphone or similar using a 3.5 mm audio cable. Note: Buttons / are not available in Aux Mode. Only could control via connected device. Press Play/Pause button to mute/unmute the unit in Aux mode. 5 USING YOUR SOUNDBAR (CONTINUED) Optical Mode: · Press Power/Mode and you will see "OP" appears on display. · Connect the TV or similar device by using optical cable (not supplied). Note: Buttons / are not available in Optical Mode. Only could control via connected device. Press Play/Pause button to mute/unmute the unit in Optical mode. HDMI-ARC Mode: · Press Power/Mode and you will see "Hd" appears on display. · Connect the TV or similar device by using HDMI-ARC cable (not supplied). Note: Buttons / are not available in HDMI-ARC Mode. Only could control via connected device.
