Getting Used to the HearingBuds
The human ear is complex. It may take time to adjust to the new sound experience, as some sounds might initially seem unusual. It is recommended to wear the HearingBuds daily, taking regular breaks, and testing them in various environments.
Important: Doro HearingBuds are not a medical device but offer features to enhance sound perception in different situations.
Requirements for Doro HearingBuds App
To optimize your HearingBuds according to your personal hearing ability using the Doro HearingBuds app, you need:
- Android version 8 or higher OR iOS version 14 or higher
- A Google account OR an Apple ID for downloading and installing the app.
Before First Use
Ensure the indicator lights on your earbuds are active when opening the charging case. If not, remove the small plastic strip from the charging contacts of the earbuds. It is recommended to charge the case and earbuds before the first use.
Charging
Note: A charger is not included in the packaging for environmental reasons. The power supplied by the charger should be between a minimum of 2.5 watts and a maximum of 5 watts for optimal charging speed.
The earbuds charge automatically when placed in the case. To charge the case, connect a USB Type-C cable to a CE or UKCA certified power source.
The indicator light on the front of the case will blink slowly while charging.
Indicator Light Status:
- Solid Green Light: Case is fully charged.
- Orange Light: Battery status approximately 20-80%.
- Red Light: Battery capacity 5-20%.
- Flashing Red Light: Critical battery level (0-5%).
Pairing with a Device
Important: Place the HearingBuds in the charging case before starting the pairing process.
- Activate Bluetooth on your device. This is typically found under Settings > Bluetooth.
- Open the charging case. Press and hold the pairing button inside the case for two seconds. The indicator light on the front of the case will begin to flash blue.
- Remove the earbuds from the case. (If your device supports Google Fast Pair, Doro HearingBuds will appear automatically for pairing.)
- Go to your device's Bluetooth settings. Select "Doro HearingBuds" from the list of available devices and choose Connect/Pair.
If pairing fails or you wish to pair with a different device, repeat the previous steps.
Wearing Your HearingBuds
Ensure the HearingBuds fit comfortably. Gently insert the silicone tip into the ear canal and position the flat part (with charging contacts) on the outer ear. The earbuds have automatic left/right ear detection.
Tip: Gently pull the top of your earlobe upwards to help position the earbuds correctly for a comfortable fit. Try different sizes of the included ear tips to ensure the best acoustic experience.
Replacing Silicone Ear Tips
Three sizes of ear tips are included: small (white), medium (green), and large (black). If the earbuds do not fit properly, try a different size.
Operating the HearingBuds
Double-tap either earbud to play/pause audio or to answer/end a call.
Handling and Cleaning
The silicone ear tips are designed to prevent dirt and earwax from entering the sound channels. Clean with a slightly damp cloth or carefully remove the ear tip and clean with mild soap and lukewarm water. Do not use solvents for cleaning.
