⚠️ Caution: The remote control is designed exclusively for this camera and should not be mixed with other devices. The effective control distance is 5 meters. Use 1.5 V batteries; other specifications may cause pairing issues due to insufficient power.
The remote control is pre-paired at the factory. If it becomes disconnected, re-pairing is necessary. Follow these steps:
- Press and hold the ?️ and ? buttons simultaneously.
- When the indicator light flashes rapidly, release the buttons. The remote control and camera will begin pairing.
- During pairing, the indicator light will change from rapid flashing to a constant light, then turn off.
- The camera will prompt "the remote control is connected," indicating successful pairing. Press any button on the remote to control the camera.
- After successful pairing, restart the camera and then use the remote control.
? Note: If pairing fails, press any button on the remote to check the indicator light for troubleshooting information. If the indicator light flashes multiple times, restart the camera and attempt pairing again. If the indicator flashes once, the remote might be connected to another device; disconnect it and try pairing again. If issues persist, restart the camera.
Chapter 2 Installation
The camera supports both desk and wall mounting.
2.1 Desk Mounting
Place the camera on a smooth horizontal table and adjust the camera base as needed.
? Note: Ensure the desk is stable, has anti-skid properties, and that there are no obstructions in front of the camera.
A diagram illustrates the camera placed on a desk using its mounting base.
2.2 Wall Mounting
The camera can be mounted on a designated wall using the wall mounting bracket. The wall mounting bracket is optional; the applicable model is DS-65VTA-wall mounting bracket assembly.
For optimal viewing in a conference room, the camera is recommended to be installed at a height of 1.2 m to 1.6 m.
⚠️ Caution: When replacing accessories or mounting, ensure the work area is clean to prevent damage from dirt or sharp objects. Unplug all external cables before proceeding and protect the camera lens from impact or falling.
Please keep replaced accessories safely to avoid loss.
Installation Steps:
- Remove the camera desk-mounting base: Loosen the 2 decorative cover screws on the desk-mounting base, remove the decorative cover, remove the 8 rotating shaft screws, and then remove the desk-mounting base. A diagram shows these components and steps.
- Prepare the wall mounting bracket: Loosen the hand screws on both sides of the wall mounting bracket and separate it into the wall mounting bracket base and the wall mounting bracket assembly. A diagram illustrates this separation.
- Attach bracket to camera: Install the wall mounting bracket assembly onto the camera, secure it with 8 shaft screws, install the decorative cover, and tighten its screws. A diagram shows the assembly process.
- Prepare the wall: Select an appropriate wall, drill a hole, and embed an expansion pipe. The recommended expansion pipe bottom hole size is ∅ 5.5 mm with a depth of ≥ 25 mm. A diagram shows the drilling and pipe insertion process.
- Mount the bracket base: Align the mounting holes of the wall mounting bracket base with the openings on the wall and use self-tapping screws to fix the base to the wall. A diagram illustrates this step.
- Secure the camera: Place the wall mounting bracket assembly onto the wall mounting bracket base and tighten the hand screws on both sides until secure. A diagram shows the final camera attachment.
