The device is powered by a 3000mA large-capacity lithium battery. A visual representation of battery status shows a full battery (yellow bar) and a low battery (red bar, less than 20%).

Charging: Use the Type-C interface to charge. The indicator light is on when charging and turns off after full charge. A toggle switch is used to power the machine ON/OFF.

3. Wiring port

The device features four main wiring ports:

4. Wiring diagram

Detailed wiring configurations for various applications:

① Active current output: voltage output

A diagram shows a connection from the device's COM, OUT, PWM, IN ports to a Meter or PLC, with a positive connection from the device to the Meter/PLC.

② No source output

A diagram illustrates connections from the device's COM, OUT, PWM, IN ports. An input positive connection leads to a Vacuity-output-24V line, which then connects to a Passive Output (XMT) for digital display, PLC, isolation safety grid, and other equipment.

③ 24V loop

A diagram depicts connections from the device's COM, OUT, PWM, IN ports to a Transmitter, with a positive connection from the device to the Transmitter.

④ Output: self-supplied

A diagram shows connections from the device's COM, OUT, PWM, IN ports to a Meter or PLC, with a positive connection from the device to the Meter/PLC.

⑤ PWM external supply

A diagram illustrates connections from the device's COM, OUT, PWM, IN ports. A positive connection from the device goes to an External power supply, which then connects to a Meter or PLC.

⑥ Current input; Voltage input

A diagram shows connections from the device's COM, OUT, PWM, IN ports to a Sensor, with a positive connection from the device to the Sensor.

5. Manual interface

The manual interface displays IN Vol. (00.00V), IN mA (00.00mA), and Vol. OFF (00.00%). It also shows options like L Vol., Manu, OFF, and Shift. This is the main interface for programmable output of 0-15V/0-24mA voltage and current.

The input waveform interface displays OLT Vol DFP (00.00) and allows switching between input current graph display and input voltage graph display.

5.1 Interface description

When the FNIRSI SG-003A is not set, there are four interfaces: manual interface, PWM interface, VC conversion interface, automatic interface, and input waveform interface.

5.2 Button description in non-setting state

When the instrument is not in the setting state:

5.3 Manual interface button operation (when the FN button is white)

5.4 Non-setting interface key operation (need to press the FN key at the same time)

5.5 Custom setting parameter description

5.6 Supplementary description of custom setting parameters

Percentage of output = (upper limit - lower limit) × 100%

5.7 Pre-set settings

The preset setting can be switched to active 20mA setting, passive 20mA setting, or 0~15V setting through the “ALT” key, “FN” key, or up and down keys. Press the “▶” key or right key to enter the setting item. Press the “ESC” key or the left key to return to the system settings.

5.8 Description of preset setting parameters

6. Automatic interface

The automatic interface displays IN Vol. (00.00), IN mA (00.00mA), Vol. OFF (00.00), and Cycle T (000.0%). It shows options like L Vol., AUTO, OFF, and Shift. Automatic mode can be set for single ascent, single drop, and loop operations.

6.1 Automatic interface button operation

6.2 Auto set (Automatic setting)

Automatic settings can be accessed via the “ALT” key, “FN” key, or by switching between up and down keys to select active 20mA setting, passive 20mA setting, or 0~15V setting. Press the “▶” key or right key to enter the setting item. Press the “ESC” key or the left key to return to the system settings.

6.3 Automatic setting parameter description

6.4 Supplement to the description of automatic setting parameters

7. VC conversion interface

The VCA conversion interface displays IN Vol. (00.00V), IN mA (00.00mA), and VCA CON OFF (00.00mA). It also shows options like L Vol., VCA CON, OFF, and Shift. This interface allows switching voltage to active current, voltage to passive current, and current to voltage.

7.1 VC interface button operation

OUT key: Switchable voltage is converted into active current, voltage is converted to passive current, and current is converted to voltage.

7.2 Signal conversion setting parameter description

7.3 Signal conversion setting parameter description supplement

8. PWM interface

The PWM interface displays IN Vol. (00.00V), OUT Vol. (00.00V), Duty (050%), and Freq (007.K 000Hz). It shows options like L Vol., PWM, OFF, and Shift. This interface allows setting the output PWM signal, voltage, frequency, and duty cycle.

8.1 Button operation on the PWM interface (when the FN button is white)

8.2 PWM interface button operation (when the FN button is red)

8.3 PWM frequency accuracy description

Since the PWM is generated by the internal hardware of the microcontroller, its accuracy is affected by 72Mhz/100 and the MOS tube. The set frequency should be divisible by 720,000 for higher accuracy; otherwise, the accuracy deviation will be greater.

9. Key operation of system settings

Note: How to enter the system settings? Press the “FN” key to switch the “FN” color. When the FN key is red, press the “SET” key to enter the setting interface.

The system settings interface displays options such as Auto Set, Sig. Cnv., Custom Set, Other Set, and Presetting.

9.1 Key operation instructions of the system setting interface

9.2 In the system settings interface, Key operation instructions for entering the next level of settings

9.3 Confirm to modify the interface button operation instructions

10. Other settings

10.1 Description of other setting parameters

11. NOTE

11.1 Read this manual carefully before use.

11.2 Exceeding the product parameter range during use may cause temporary abnormal operation of this instrument, or even completely damage it.

11.3 The equipment uses itself to detect the signal sent out by itself, and there will be a large error.

11.4 Supplement to other setting parameter descriptions: Modify all parameters carefully.

11.5 If the user needs to measure the input voltage, they must switch to the input voltage waveform interface. Connecting the two ends of the circuit under test in parallel on the main interface for voltage measurement will cause damage.

NOTE: The main interface is for measuring input current configuration. At this time, the input resistance of the device is low. If it is connected in parallel to both ends of the circuit under test, it is possible to burn the device under test.

The product package typically includes the FNIRSI SG-003A signal generator, a carrying case, a set of test leads with alligator clips, a Type-C USB charging cable, and a wall adapter.
