Overview

The Blackmagic URSA Broadcast is an advanced Ultra HD broadcast camera designed to work with existing HD or Ultra HD B4 lenses, enabling users to shoot in HD today and transition to Ultra HD when ready. It offers professional broadcast controls, built-in ND filters, and continuous 12-bit recording of ProRes and DNx files to dual SD UHS-II or CFast cards. The camera features an extended video range for stunning broadcast-ready shots that can go directly to air. The URSA Broadcast functions as two cameras in one, suitable for production work or as a live studio camera when paired with the Blackmagic URSA Studio Viewfinder, providing remote control and a built-in color corrector.

Filters and Controls

• Built-in ND Filters: Four-position ND filter wheel with clear, 2-stop, 4-stop, and 6-stop ND filters.
• Focus: The focus button activates peaking; auto focus is available using compatible lenses with focus servo.
• Iris Control: Features an iris wheel and touchscreen slider for manual iris adjustment on electronically controllable lenses. An iris button provides instant auto iris settings on compatible lenses to prevent pixel clipping in film mode. Scene average auto exposure is supported in video and extended video modes.
