Important Safety Instructions
Please read and understand all safety and operating instructions before using the radio. Retain these instructions for future reference. Heed all warnings on the appliance and in the operating instructions. Follow all operations and use instructions.
- Water and Moisture: Do not use the appliance near water (e.g., bathtub, washbowl, laundry tub, kitchen sink, wet basement, swimming pool).
- Cleaning: Unplug the radio from the AC power outlet before cleaning. Use only a damp cloth for cleaning the exterior.
- Placement: Do not place the radio on an unstable cart, stand, bracket, or table, as it may fall and cause injury or damage. Ensure proper ventilation; do not block openings with soft surfaces or place in built-in situations that reduce airflow.
- Power Sources: Operate only from the type of power source indicated on the marking label. Consult your dealer or power company if unsure.
- Power Cords: Position cords to avoid being walked on, pinched, or having items placed on them. Grip the plug, not the cord, when unplugging. Do not overload wall outlets or extension cords, as this can cause fire or electric shock. Never insert objects into the radio through openings, as they may touch dangerous voltage points or cause short circuits.
- Unattended Use: If the radio is left unattended for long periods, unplug it from the wall outlet to prevent damage from lightning or power surges. Remove batteries if left unused for an extended period to prevent leakage and damage.
- Servicing: Do not attempt to service the unit yourself. Removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltage and will void the warranty. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
- Object and Liquid Entry: Never push objects of any kind into the radio through openings. Never spill liquid of any kind on the product.
- Servicing Conditions: The appliance should be serviced by qualified personnel when the power cord or plug is damaged, objects have fallen or liquid has spilled into the radio, the radio has been exposed to rain or water, it does not operate normally, or the enclosure is damaged.
- Battery Safety: Batteries (battery pack or installed batteries) shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as direct sunlight, fire, or the like. Dispose of batteries responsibly at a recycling center; do not incinerate. Keep batteries away from young children as they can be a choking hazard.
- AC Adapter Interference: If experiencing AM band interference from the adapter, move the radio at least 30cm away from the AC power adapter. Use only the provided AC adapter.
