MAKING & SEALING A BAG FROM THE BAG ROLL
STEP 1: Cut a Bag to Size
A close-up view of the PowerXL Cordless DuoSealer's cutting mechanism. A clear plastic bag is placed flat on the appliance's sealing platform. The bag material is aligned with visible cutting guides. The sealing arm is shown open, and a sliding cutter tab is positioned at one end of the bag, ready to be moved across to cut the bag to the desired length.
Place the appliance on a level surface. Press the Push-Open Latch to open the Sealing Arm. Place the bag material on the Sealing Platform. Line the bag up with the Cutting Guides. Close the Sealing Arm and press down on the Sealing Arm near the Push-Open Latch until the Sealing Arm clicks into place. Starting at one end of the Sealing Arm, slide the Slide Cutter Tab all the way to the other side of the Sealing Arm to cut the bag to your desired length.
STEP 2: Seal One End
The PowerXL Cordless DuoSealer is plugged into a power outlet. The sealing arm is open, revealing the sealing bar. One end of a plastic bag is inserted into the sealer, positioned beneath an alignment guide on the sealing bar. The 'Seal Only' button is indicated as the one to be pressed.
Plug the sealer into a power outlet. The Power Indicator on the Control Panel will illuminate. Open the Sealing Arm. Insert one end of the open bag into the sealer, aligning the bag under the Alignment Guide. Close and lock the Sealing Arm. Press the Seal Only Button. The light next to the button will illuminate. When the bag is sealed, the light will turn off.
STEP 3: Add Food
The sealing arm of the PowerXL Cordless DuoSealer is open. A plastic bag is shown with food items being placed inside. The text emphasizes leaving at least 2 inches of free space at the top of the bag for a proper seal. The bag is then to be returned to the sealing platform and aligned.
Open the Sealing Arm and remove the bag. Add food to the bag, leaving at least 2 inches of free space at the top of the bag to allow for a proper seal. Return the bag to the Sealing Platform and align the bag with the Alignment Guide. Close the Sealing Arm. NOTE: Do not use the Vacuum & Seal Button with foods containing a large amount of liquid. Instead, use the Seal Only Button.
STEP 4: Vacuum and Seal
The sealing arm of the PowerXL Cordless DuoSealer is closed. A finger is shown pressing the 'Vacuum & Seal' button on the appliance's control panel. The indicator light for this function is mentioned as turning off once the sealing process is complete.
Press the Vacuum & Seal Button. When the bag is sealed, the light will turn off.
STEP 5: Remove Sealed Bag
The sealing arm of the PowerXL Cordless DuoSealer is open. A food-filled plastic bag, now properly sealed, is being carefully removed from the appliance.
Open the Sealing Arm and remove the sealed bag.
IMPORTANT
Unpack all parts from the box and packaging and remove any clear or blue protective film on the components. Wash with warm, soapy water before first use (only select accessories are dishwasher safe).
