The Renogy BT-2 is a new generation Bluetooth module designed for Renogy solar charge controllers, smart lithium batteries, Dual Input DC-DC chargers, and inverter chargers. It connects via an RJ45 communication port, enabling wireless monitoring of system data and allowing users to change parameters through the Renogy DC Home smart phone application.

Operation

Connection

Connect the BT-2 Bluetooth module to any Renogy solar charge controller, smart lithium battery, Dual Input DC-DC, or inverter charger that features an RJ45 port and supports the RS485 communication protocol.

How to Connect Via Renogy DC Home App:

1. Account Creation/Login: First-time users must create an account. Existing Renogy.com account credentials can be used.
2. Add Device: After successful login, tap the blue plus button (top right corner) or the "+Add devices" link (bottom of the screen) to add your device.
3. Pairing: An Operation Guide will appear. Turn on your device's Bluetooth, select "Next". Confirm your connection, tap the checkbox, and select "Next". The app will then search for the device.
4. Device Configuration: When a device is found, select it from the list. You can optionally name the device. Press "Next" and then select the type of device you are connecting (e.g., Charge Controller). The app will confirm the product SKU. Click "OK" to begin communication.
5. Monitoring: In the main interface, navigate to the "my devices" section to view general parameters of the connected charge controller.
