2 Your 50W Split Soundbar

2.1 In The Box

Carefully remove your 50W Split Soundbar from the box. Inside the box you will find:

Mains Power

Your 50W Split Soundbar requires a mains supply of 220V-240 AC ~ 50/60 Hz. Please ensure that your mains supply is compatible before use. Disconnect the Power Cord from the mains when not in use.

Position of 50W Split Soundbar

Place the soundbar on a flat, stable surface that is not subject to vibrations. Avoid the following locations:

2.3 Remote Control

3 Preparation

3.1 Remote Control Operation Range

The remote control sensor on the front unit is sensitive to commands up to a maximum of 6 metres away and within a maximum of a 60° arc. Please note that the operating distance may vary depending on the brightness of the room.

3.2 Remove the Plastic Strip from the Remote Control

The unit has a pre-installed lithium CR2025 battery. Remove the protective tab to activate the remote control battery.

3.3 Replace the Remote Control Battery

Follow these steps to replace the battery:

  1. Slide and hold the battery release tab in the direction of the arrow.
  2. Pull out the battery holder and remove the old battery.
  3. Place a new CR2025 battery into the battery tray with correct polarity (+/-) as indicated.
  4. Insert the battery tray back into the slot.

3.4 Speakers Placement

Choose a suitable placement for optimal sound experience.

4 Quick Setup

4.1 Power On and Auto Standby

  1. Connect the Power Cord into the AC~ socket.
  2. Connect the Power Plug to the mains socket.
  3. Press the [Power Button] (F) on the unit.

ℹ️ When there is no input signal (or a weak input signal) in AUX, OPTICAL, and Bluetooth (Stop or Pause) for over 15 minutes, the unit will automatically switch to Standby mode.

5 Features

5.1 Optical Mode

  1. Remove the protective cap from the OPTICAL socket on your TV and the soundbar.
  2. Connect one end of the included Optical cable to the back of the soundbar and the other end to the OPTICAL OUTPUT of your TV.
  3. Press the 'SOURCE' button on the soundbar until the indicator light on the front of the unit is solid orange, or press the OPTICAL button on the remote control.
  4. Adjust the volume to the desired level.

5.2 AUX Mode

  1. Use a 3.5mm to 3.5mm audio cable (included) to connect the TV's headphone socket to the AUX socket on the soundbar.
  2. Alternatively, use a RCA to 3.5mm audio cable (included) to connect the TV's audio output sockets to the AUX socket on the soundbar.
  3. Press the 'SOURCE' button on the soundbar until the indicator light on the front of the unit is solid orange, or press the AUX button on the remote control.
  4. Adjust the volume to the desired level.

5.3 Bluetooth Mode

You can play music from any Bluetooth-enabled device through your 50W Split Soundbar.

  1. Press the 'SOURCE' button on the soundbar until the 'Blue' indicator flashes, or press the BT button on the remote control.
  2. Open the Bluetooth controls on your device and select “GDSBT50SS” in the pairing list. The indicator light on the soundbar will turn solid blue when the devices are connected.
  3. Select the song you want and press play.

NFC (Near Field Communication) Operation

Pair your NFC-enabled mobile device directly with this unit with a single tap.

  1. Activate NFC on your mobile device and press the SOURCE button repeatedly on the unit, or press the BT (Bluetooth) button on the remote control to select Bluetooth mode.
  2. Tap and hold your mobile device on the NFC Sensing Area of the unit. You will be prompted to pair the unit with your device. The unit will sound "Paired" and the Blue indicator will light up solidly when pairing succeeds.
  3. You can operate playback features via your mobile device.
  4. To disconnect your mobile device, tap and hold again on the NFC Sensing Area of the unit. The unit will sound “Disconnected” and the Blue indicator will flash slowly.

Disconnecting Bluetooth

To disconnect the Bluetooth function, you can:

Listen to Music from Bluetooth Device

If the connected Bluetooth device supports Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP), you can listen to music stored on the device through the player. If the device also supports Audio Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP), you can use the player's remote control to play music stored on the device.

  1. Pair your device with the player.
  2. Play music via your device (if it supports A2DP).
  3. Use the supplied remote control to control playback (if it supports AVRCP).

To pause/resume play, press the II/PAIR button. To skip to a track, press the ⏭️ buttons.

5.4 Adjust the Volume

Press the VOL+ / VOL- buttons on the unit or on the remote control to adjust the volume. If you wish to turn the sound off, press the MUTE button on the remote control. Press this button again or press the VOL+ / VOL- buttons on the unit or on the remote control to resume normal listening.

While adjusting the volume, the status indicator flashes quickly. While the volume level reaches its maximum, pressing VOL+ again causes the status indicator to flash once. While the volume level reaches its minimum, pressing VOL- again causes the status indicator to flash once.

5.5 Select equaliser (EQ) effect

While playing, press the VOICE, MOVIE, and MUSIC buttons on the remote control to select desired preset equalisers:

6 Troubleshooting

ProblemWhat to do
There is no sound from my Soundbar
  • Check that the volume is not set to the minimum.
  • Ensure the audio setting of the input source (e.g., TV, game console, DVD player, etc.) is set to PCM mode while using optical connection.
  • Before pressing any playback control button, first select the correct source.
Remote control does not work
  • Reduce the distance between the remote control and the unit.
  • Insert the battery with its polarities (+/-) aligned as indicated.
  • Replace the battery.
  • Aim the remote control directly at the sensor on the front of the unit.
No response from the unitDisconnect and reconnect the AC power plug, then turn the unit on again.
I cannot find ‘GDSBT50SS' on the Bluetooth device
  • Make sure that the Bluetooth function is activated on your Bluetooth device.
  • Re-pair the 50W Split Soundbar with your Bluetooth device.
