Getting Started

Battery Insertion and Replacement

To install or replace batteries:

  1. Pull down the battery compartments (1) and (8) located at the back of the clock.
  2. Insert two new AA type, 1.5V batteries (LR6), ensuring correct polarity as indicated within the compartment.
  3. Replace the battery compartment lids (1) and (8).

Clock Operation

Setting the Clock Automatically

Upon proper battery installation, the clock automatically sets itself to 12 o'clock and begins receiving the radio signal. After processing the DCF signal (typically 3 to 12 minutes), the clock will display the correct time. It is recommended not to move or hang the clock during this initial setup process.

If the clock does not set itself after 12 minutes, reception may be faulty or impossible at the current location. Try relocating the clock and pressing the RESET button (7) to restart the process.

Receiving the Radio Control Signal

The radio-controlled clock automatically attempts to receive the radio signal 12 times daily. Each reception process takes approximately 3 to 12 minutes.

To initiate a manual reception (force DCF reception), press and hold the REC button (6) for 3 seconds. The clock hands will move to the 12 o'clock position and begin signal reception. Once the DCF signal is received and processed, the correct time will be displayed. If no signal is received within 12 minutes, the clock will revert to its previous time setting.

Setting the Time Manually

If automatic reception is not possible or desired:

  1. Press and hold the M.SET button (5) for 3 seconds to enter manual time setting mode.
  2. Press the M.SET button (5) briefly (for 1 second) to advance the minute hand by one minute.
  3. Press and hold the M.SET button (5) for longer than 1 second to automatically advance the minute hand.
  4. The clock will finalize the setting if the M.SET button (5) is not pressed for 8 seconds.

Alarm Functions

Setting the Alarm Time

Turn the set-alarm knob (2) in the direction of the arrow to set the desired alarm time. Avoid turning the knob in the opposite direction, as this may damage the internal mechanism.

Activating/Deactivating the Alarm

To turn the alarm ON, push the ALARM ON/OFF switch (3) upwards. The alarm will sound at the set time for up to 2 minutes, provided the switch remains ON or the SNOOZE/LIGHT button (4) is not pressed.

To turn the alarm OFF, push the ALARM ON/OFF switch (3) downwards.

Interrupting the Alarm (Snooze)

When the alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button (4) on the top of the clock. This will temporarily stop the alarm for approximately 5 minutes and activate the illumination for 5 seconds. The alarm will sound again after the snooze period. This snooze function can be repeated 3-7 times.

Automatic Alarm Switch-off

If the alarm is not interrupted or switched off, it will automatically stop after approximately 2 minutes. It will then reactivate 12 hours later at the same set time.

Illumination

To illuminate the clock face in the dark, briefly press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button (4) on the top of the clock. The light will stay on for 5 seconds.
