ECO REAL FEEL Function

ECO REAL FEEL is De'Longhi's innovative technology that works simultaneously on temperature reduction and humidity control to secure the best comfort level. While traditional systems may reach optimal comfort conditions during operation, they do not always secure them over time. With ECO REAL FEEL, once optimal comfort is reached, the PAC automatically modulates compressor action and air flow to maintain it.

  • To activate the function, touch the [D8] button on the remote control, and the ECO REAL FEEL symbol will appear.
  • After approximately 1 minute, the ECO REAL FEEL indicator (C11) turns on. It changes color when approaching the best comfort level (see following diagram).

Note: For this type of use, the appliance must be set up as for air conditioning mode.

Diagram shows an operating curve plotting Humidity against Temperature, with zones indicating "Orange Light" (far from optimal), "Green Light" (good conditions), and "Blue Light" (best comfort). A note states that well-being is subjective and environmental conditions can affect performance.

Turning the Appliance On/Off (Remote)

  • Plug into the outlet.
  • Touch the [D1] ON/STAND-BY button. When turned on, the air conditioner starts operating in the same mode as when it was turned off.
  • Touch the [D1] ON/STAND-BY button again to switch the appliance off.

Additional Functions

Silent Function

This function further reduces operating noise. To activate it, touch the [D2] button on the remote control. The display shows the relative symbol (C12).

Swing Function

This function moves the flap evenly, distributing air into the room. When the [D9] Swing button is touched, the flap will begin to move forwards and backwards alternatively. If touched again, the flap will be locked into its current position. When the button is next touched, the flap will start to move forwards and backwards again.

Note: To avoid damaging internal mechanisms, the flap must not be moved manually.

Repeat Pairing of CST Remote Control

The CST remote control is already paired to the bundled Pinguino appliance. If the user wishes to pair it with another Pinguino device, or if using a brand-new CST remote control, follow these steps:

  • Put the unit in Stand-by mode.
  • Press and hold the MODE selection button (D6) on the CST remote control for 10 seconds. The LED (D10) will start blinking periodically, indicating the pairing phase.
  • The user is then prompted to press the MODE button (C2) on the Pinguino unit for 10 seconds until a double beep is emitted. The pairing phase is signaled on the display by a fast flashing of the dot in the middle of the digits.
  • When the two devices complete the pairing dialogue, the PAC emits a double beep, and the display shows the normal Standby visualization. The pairing must be done within 60 seconds.

Setting the Timer

The timer allows for delayed start-up or shut-down of the appliance. This function helps save electricity by optimizing operating periods.

Tips for Correct Use

To ensure optimal results from your air conditioner, follow these recommendations:

  • Close the windows and doors in the room to be air conditioned. When installing the air conditioner semi-permanently, leave a door slightly open (about 1 cm) to guarantee proper ventilation.
  • Never use the appliance in very damp rooms (e.g., laundries).
  • Protect the room from direct exposure to the sun by partially closing curtains and/or blinds to make the appliance more economical to run.
  • Never use the appliance outdoors.
  • Make sure there are no heat sources in the room.
  • Make sure the air conditioner is standing on a level surface.
  • Do not cover the appliance.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Before cleaning or maintenance, turn the appliance off by touching the [C1] button, then unplug from the outlet.

Cleaning the Cabinet

Clean the appliance with a slightly damp cloth, then dry with a dry cloth. For safety reasons, never wash the air conditioner with water.

Attention! Never use petrol, alcohol, or solvents to clean the appliance. Never spray insecticide liquids or similar.

Cleaning the Bio Silver Air Filter

The BioSilver filter helps capture dust and pollen and reduces the growth of bacteria and mold on the filter. If the filter is dirty, air circulation is compromised, and the appliance's efficiency decreases. It is therefore good practice to clean the filter at regular intervals. The frequency depends on the duration and conditions of operation. If the unit is used constantly or systematically, it is recommended to clean the filter once a week.

The filter is housed in the intake grille. To clean the filter, extract it as shown in Figure 11.

  • Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust collected on the filter.
  • If it is very dirty, immerse it in warm water and rinse several times. The water should never be hotter than 40°C.
  • After washing the filter, allow it to dry completely before repositioning it.

Start of Season Checks & End of Season Operations

Start of Season Checks

  • Make sure the power cable and plug are undamaged and the earth system is efficient.
  • Follow the installation instructions precisely.

End of Season Operations

  • To drain all water from the circuit, remove the external cap by unscrewing it counter-clockwise (refer to Figure 12) and allow the water to drain into a basin.
  • When the appliance is empty, replace the caps.
  • Clean the filter and dry thoroughly before putting it back.
