Congratulations on your purchase of this versatile Honeywell Evaporative Air Cooler. For optimum cooling, fill the water tank to the maximum level and load ice inside the ice compartment before turning on the air cooler.
Cooler Location (Important - Please Read!)
Place the cooler in front of an open door or window. Ensure adequate cross-ventilation by leaving a door or window open opposite the cooler. Following these guidelines will ensure your cooler works as effectively as possible.
Not an Air Conditioner (Important - Please Read!)
The evaporative air cooler does not use a compressor or refrigerant gas and should not be expected to cool as efficiently as a refrigerated air conditioner.
User Tips
Energy Efficient, No Compressor
Honeywell Evaporative Air Coolers maximize energy efficiency. Warm air is drawn into the cooler and enters the Honeycomb Cooling Media. Water from the tank is pumped over the media. As warm air passes through, water absorbs heat, cooling and humidifying the air. A fan propels the cooled air out. This no-compressor system cools naturally, efficiently, and inexpensively.

Indoor Use
The recommended maximum relative humidity level is 60% or less for noticeable temperature decrease. The decrease is greater in drier climates due to higher evaporation.
The cooler should not be used in enclosed spaces. It must be kept level and the water tank must contain water. Doors and windows should be opened for free airflow. Placing the cooler near an open window optimizes performance by drawing in outside air and circulating it through the room before exiting. The maximum cooling effect is felt when a person is in the direct airflow.
The cooler can also humidify dry air during cool weather. For humidification, close windows and doors to allow humidified air to accumulate.
Note
When used for the first time, the Honeycomb Cooling Media may have an odor that dissipates within a few hours of initial use.

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed:
- Your cooler runs on 120 Volt AC, 60 Hz current. Check household voltage. [? 120V - 60 Hz]
- Before operating, remove from packaging and check for good condition.
- DO NOT operate with a damaged cord or plug.
- DO NOT run power cord under carpeting or cover it with rugs. Keep cord away from areas where it may be tripped over.
- Always unplug before refilling the water tank.
- Always unplug before cleaning, servicing, or relocating.
- Remove power cord by grasping the plug-end only.
- DO NOT use in areas where gasoline, paint, or other flammable goods are stored.
- When using "COOL" setting, ensure the water tank is full. Operation with an empty tank may damage the water pump. [⚡ Shock Hazard]

- DO NOT cover air inlet or outlet; this may cause motor damage.
- DO NOT insert objects into ventilation or exhaust openings; this may cause electrical shock or fire.
- DO NOT operate with Honeycomb media removed; this will overload and damage the motor.
- DO NOT leave the appliance unattended for extended periods.
- DO NOT let children play with the appliance, packaging, or plastic bags.
- If the unit is damaged or malfunctions, do not use it. Refer to Troubleshooting Guide (page 17) and contact service center.

- This product is not intended for use in wet or damp locations.
- DO NOT use in bathrooms. Never locate where it may fall into a bathtub or water container.
- Store in a dry area when not in use.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience/knowledge, unless supervised or instructed by a responsible person.
- Always grip the side handles to move the cooler.
Extension Cord Usage:
- Do not use indoor extension cords outside. Use cords marked for outdoor use with GFCI built-in.
- Ensure extension cord amperage rating is higher than the appliance's.
- Secure power cords running along the ground to prevent tripping.
- Wiring and connections must be waterproof.
- Set up the unit so it cannot be tripped over or wobble loose; it must rest on a solid support.

Use & Operation
Control Panel

Function Buttons
- Power: Press to turn the unit on. It starts at medium speed, then switches to low. Press again to turn off.
- Speed: Press repeatedly to cycle through speeds: High (Hi), Medium (Med), Low (Lo), & Natural Breeze. Natural Breeze mode simulates a natural breeze with random cycles of OFF, LOW, MEDIUM, and HIGH.
- Mode: Switches between FAN and COOL modes.
- Cool Mode: Indicator light on COOL comes on, water pump operates. Cooler air is felt after the honeycomb media is wet.
- Fan Mode: Indicator light on FAN comes on.
- Timer: Press until the desired time indicator light comes on. The unit will automatically shut off after the set time. Maximum timer duration is 7.5 hours.
Swing
Press the "SWING" button. The indicator light comes on, and louvers move automatically from right to left. Manually adjust horizontal louvers for vertical airflow.
Low Water Alarm (Activates in COOL Mode Only)
Equipped with a low water sensor. When water is below minimum level, 10 beeps sound, and the "TANK EMPTY" LED flashes continuously. The pump power is cut off to protect it. To disengage the alarm: turn off the unit, fill the tank above the minimum level, and turn it back on. To continue using in FAN mode, turn the unit off and then on again. If COOL is pressed again without water, the alarm reactivates.
Remote Control

Functions:
- Power: On/Off
- Speed: Low / Medium / High / Natural
- Mode: Controls cooling or fan option
- Swing: Controls vertical louvers motion
- Timer: Controls automatic shut-off timer
Remote Control Notes:
- Insert two new AAA dry cell batteries, observing correct polarity.
- Point the signal transmitter towards the unit.
- Ensure the signal path is unobstructed.
- Remove batteries if the unit will not be used for an extended period.
- Do not drop the remote control.
- Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
- Do not mix battery types (e.g., alkaline, carbon-zinc, rechargeable).
- Do not mix old and new batteries.
- Exhausted batteries must be removed from the product.
Room Cooling And Humidifying
Water Regulator:

- Setting to "MIN": Water pump distributes minimal water to Honeycomb Media, resulting in less evaporation and reduced cooling effect.
- Setting to "MAX": Water pump distributes maximum water to Honeycomb Media, resulting in maximum evaporation and improved cooling performance.
Filling With Water
CAUTION: Unplug from power when refilling.
Unplug the air cooler from the power supply.
Check the water level indicator on the front to determine the water level. The tank holds up to 6.6 gallons. Ensure water is always above the minimum level mark.

To refill, open the Water Fill Door and fill water to the Max Level indicated on the Water Level Indicator. Do not overfill.

For better cooling, add ice cubes to the ice compartment on top.
After refilling and adding ice, close the water fill door, connect the power supply, and turn on.
Note: Running the unit with inadequate water may cause pump failure.
Cleaning & Maintenance
Important
- The cooler is supplied with Honeycomb Cooling Media.
- Cleaning frequency depends on local air and water conditions. Mineral deposits may build up on the Honeycomb Cooling Media and restrict airflow in areas with high mineral content. Draining the reservoir and refilling with fresh water weekly helps reduce deposits. If deposits remain, remove and wash the media under fresh water. Clean the media every two months or sooner as needed.
- Do not run the unit in COOL mode with stale water. Empty and refill with fresh water if water has been standing for an extended period.
- For best results, allow the Honeycomb Cooling Media to dry after each use by turning off the cool function 15 minutes before turning the unit off.
WARNING
- Before cleaning, switch to "off" and unplug from the power socket.
- To clean the outside, use a damp cloth to remove dirt and dust.
- Never use corrosive elements or chemicals.
- When not in use, store the unit in a dry place out of direct sunlight.
Draining and Cleaning The Water Tank
- Turn power "off" and disconnect from power supply.
- Move the unit to a location where it can be drained.
- Remove the drain plug (#15 on Page 8) and allow the tank to empty.
- Refill the water tank with clean water to the maximum level and drain completely.
- Fill and rinse the tank at least 2-3 times before use.
- Ensure the drain plug is back in place after cleaning.
- Plug into the power supply and turn on.

Cleaning The Honeycomb Cooling Media
- Turn off the unit and unplug the power cord.
- Rotate the unit to face the back panel. Locate the Rear Grill Removal Screws (#16 on Page 8) and remove the 4 screws with a screwdriver.
- Pull the rear grill panel completely off.
- The Honeycomb cooling media is now visible. Clean the honeycomb with a clean cloth to remove dust and dirt particles.
- Once cleaning is finished, reassemble the unit.
- Plug into the power supply and turn on.

This cleaning process should be repeated monthly to maintain the unit and remove filtered particles.
Troubleshooting Guide
Problem: No discharge of air
- Possible Cause: Cord is not plugged in.
- Solution: Make sure power cord is plugged in and the supply switch is on.
- Possible Cause: Power is not on.
- Solution: Turn the unit ON by pressing the power button on the control panel.
Problem: Not Cooling / Unit is making noise
- Possible Cause: Pump is not turned ON.
- Solution: On Control Panel, turn COOL FUNCTION to "ON".
- Possible Cause: Low or no water in tank, when COOL is selected.
- Solution: Refill water tank.
- Possible Cause: Damaged Pump or Calcium deposits on blower.
- Solution: Contact service center.
Problem: Odors
- Possible Cause: When the Cooler is new.
- Solution: The Honeycomb Cooling Media may have an odor, which will dissipate within a few hours of initial use.
- Possible Cause: If the Cooler has been used.
- Solution: There may be an algae issue. Replace the Honeycomb Cooling Media.

Problem: The unit does not respond to remote control
- Possible Cause: Remote control batteries.
- Solution: Check batteries. Replace if needed. Try to operate using the control panel.
- Possible Cause: Damaged PCB.
- Solution: Try with remote control. If the unit responds, PCB board fasteners may be loose. Contact service center. If neither remote control nor control panel works, PCB board may be damaged. Contact service center.
