It should be operated indoors in dry, well-illuminated, and ventilated conditions, and not on wet surfaces.

Operation
Accessory Attachment: To attach accessories, unlock the blade clamp, insert the accessory, and then lock the clamp. The head angle can be adjusted between 0° and 90° using the release button.
Speed Control: Adjust the speed using the speed control dial (4) for different tasks.
Using the Depth Gauge: The depth gauge (14) helps set the cutting depth or prevent over-cutting.
Dust Extraction: Connect a vacuum cleaner to the dust port (13) to remove dust during operation, which helps prevent respiratory irritation and keeps the work area clean.
Securing Workpieces: Always secure workpieces with a clamp to prevent movement during operation. Do not hold the workpiece by hand.
Cutting Techniques: When making plunge cuts, gradually bring the vibrating blade to the workpiece. For non-ferrous metals, take extra care as the blade may skip; drilling pilot holes along the cut line may be helpful.
Overcurrent Protection: The tool will automatically switch off if overcurrent is detected. Release and re-apply the trigger to resume operation.
Maintenance
General: Clean the tool with dry cloths. Avoid using solvents on plastic parts as they can cause damage. Do not allow dust from plaster or wallboard to enter the motor area; use dust extraction and clean with a brush and vacuum.
Lubrication: Bearings are pre-lubricated for the product's lifespan under normal conditions; no further lubrication is required.
Repairs: All repairs should be performed by an authorized Ryobi service center using only identical replacement parts.
Safety Warning: Never connect the product to a power supply when assembling, adjusting, cleaning, performing maintenance, or when not in use. Disconnecting prevents accidental starting.
Hot Accessories: Metallic accessories can become hot during use; wear gloves when changing them.
Ryobi RB18L50 18V Lithium-ion Battery Pack
Battery Protection Features: Ryobi ONE+ 18V lithium-ion battery packs are equipped with features to monitor and protect cells, maximizing battery life. The tool may stop to prevent overheating or overloading; release the trigger to reset. If the tool does not reactivate, the battery may be discharged and needs charging. Batteries can be recharged in any state; complete discharge is not necessary.
LED Charge Indicator: The LED indicator may not function if the battery protection feature has stopped the tool (sleep mode).
SHUT-OFF Mode: Minimizes self-discharge when not in use, reactivated by tool use or pressing the LED gauge.
Cold Weather Operation: Battery packs can be used down to -10°C. Light duty use can help warm the battery for normal operation.
Charging the Battery Pack:
- Charge battery packs prior to first use.
- Use only compatible 18V chargers.
- Ensure battery contacts align with charger contacts and latches secure the pack.
- Charging may cause slight warmth, which is normal.
- Avoid charging in extreme heat or cold; normal room temperature is best.
- Place the charger on a hard surface.
- A minimum of 1 hour charging is required for a normal usage recharge.
Charging a Hot Battery Pack: Allow hot battery packs to cool before attempting to recharge.
Charging a Cool Battery Pack: If the battery is below normal temperature, the red LED flashes, and the green LED is off. Charging begins automatically when the battery reaches above 0°C.
Charge Status: Press the charge level indicator button to display the amount of charge left. Indicators show charge levels from 0-10% (one bar) to 75-100% (four bars).
Maintenance: Do not disassemble battery packs. Handling batteries, especially with jewelry, can cause burns. For longest life, remove the battery from the charger once fully charged.
Storage: For storage longer than 30 days, store battery packs at temperatures below 27°C, in a charged condition (30%-50% charged). After six months, discharge to 10%-20% before recharging to maximize battery lifetime.
Environmental Protection: Recycle raw materials. Cover battery terminals with tape upon removal. Do not attempt to disassemble or destroy batteries; they must be recycled or disposed of properly. Keep away from children.
