Device Overview
Familiarize yourself with the Moxee Mobile Hotspot. Key components include the menu button, power button, MicroUSB port, and indicators for signal, network mode, Wi-Fi, messages, battery, and WPS status.
Getting Started
Charging Your Device: Connect the provided charger to an electrical outlet and the device's MicroUSB port.
Setting Up Wi-Fi Connection: Press and hold the Power Button for 3 seconds. Look for the network name (SSID) Moxee HotspotXX_2.4G or Moxee HotspotXX_5G, where XX represents the last two digits of the device's IMEI. Connect using the default password found on your device's Wi-Fi Info screen or the label under the battery cover.
Note: The device may periodically search for software updates, which could use a small amount of data.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues, consult these tips:
- Unresponsive Device: Restart by pressing the Power Button for 8 seconds.
- Connection Failure: Verify the entered password and check if WPS security is enabled on your PC.
- No Service: Ensure a stable network signal or check for hardware issues. Try repositioning the device, especially near a window, or check for loose parts.
- Forgotten Wi-Fi Password: Find the password on the Wi-Fi Info page or reset the device to factory defaults by pressing the reset button for 5 seconds. The default password is also listed on the SSID label under the back cover and is the last 8 digits of the hotspot's IMEI.
