PDP Afterglow Wave Wired Controller
Quick Start Guide
For Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10/11
1. Initial Setup
Plug the USB-C end of the cable into the top of the controller, and the USB side into your console or PC. The light above the Xbox logo will illuminate to indicate it is connected.
2. Mute Microphone
Press the function button, located above the audio jack, twice to mute your microphone.
3. Control Volume
While holding down the function button, press the D-Pad [Up Arrow] / [Down Arrow] to adjust game volume.
4. Game/Chat Balance
While holding down the function button, press the D-Pad [Left Arrow] / [Right Arrow] to adjust game/chat balance.
5. Program Back Buttons
To map a function to a back button:
- While holding down the function button, press the back button you wish to map. The function button LED will start flashing.
- Press any button you would like mapped. The function button LED will flash 3 times, indicating a successful mapping.
- To clear a mapped function or disable the back buttons completely, hold down the function button and double-press any back button.
6. Changing Lighting Effects
The controller comes with 4 pre-programmed lighting effects:
- Static: RGB lights remain solid in a chosen color.
- Wave: Displays a rainbow of RGB lights in continuous motion.
- Breathing: RGB lights slowly fade in and out on a set color.
- Rumble: In-game rumble activates a set color for the RGB lights.
To cycle through these effects, hold down the function button and press either the L or R button.
You can also change and customize lighting effects in the free PDP Control Hub app. Additional effects include:
- Ripple: RGB lights radiate outward from analog sticks to controller grips with a set color, brightness, and speed.
- Pulse: RGB lighting slowly fades in and out with brightness changes (first pulse bright, then weaker, then fades out completely).
[Note] Additional lighting effects will be added via firmware updates. Ensure your controller firmware is up to date.
7. Adjust Lighting Settings on Controller
Use the function button and controller inputs to adjust lighting:
- Change LED Color: Hold the function button and use the left analog stick.
- Save Color: Release the function button.
- Set White: Hold the function button and click the left stick.
- Adjust Brightness: Hold the function button and press the left trigger.
- Turn Off Lights: Hold the function button and press the left trigger until brightness reaches 0%.
[Note] These settings and further customizations are also available in the free PDP Control Hub app.
8. Changing Settings for RGB Zones
The controller has 8 customizable RGB zones. These can only be changed via the free PDP Control Hub app.
9. PDP Control Hub App
Customize your controller to make it unique! Use the app to further customize Lighting Effects and RGB Zones: change colors, brightness, and speeds, and set custom Lighting Profiles.
The app also allows for controller settings customization, such as re-mapping buttons, running diagnostics, and re-calibrating analog sticks and triggers.
To get started, download the free PDP Control Hub app from the Microsoft Store on your Xbox or PC.
[Note] Additional lighting effects and advanced features will be added to the app. Ensure your controller firmware is updated when prompted.

PDP warrants this product against manufacturing defects for two years from the original purchase date. This warranty applies to original purchasers with valid proof of purchase.
