Product Brief

The SPS-3005/3010/6005/12003 series of adjustable regulated DC power supply is designed for use in laboratories, schools, and production lines. Both output voltage and output current are continuously adjustable between 0 and nominal. The power supply offers excellent stability and ripple factor, with a perfect protection circuit, allowing for long-term full-load operation. It functions as both a regulated power supply and a regulated current supply.

Work Requirement

1. AC Input: Ensure the input voltage is AC220V±10% 50Hz. Warning: Incorrect AC voltage input can cause serious damage to the device.
2. Environment: Do not use in environments where the ambient temperature exceeds 40 degrees Celsius. Ensure the cooling fan at the rear of the device has adequate space for cooling.

Operation Instruction

The power supply features two output modes: Constant Voltage (CV) and Constant Current (CC). The mode is determined by the user-set voltage and current values and the connected load. The output voltage or current will not exceed the set values. In CV mode, the output voltage matches the set value. In CC mode, the output current matches the set value.

Example: Set voltage to 5V and current to 5A.

Steps:

1. Turn on the power switch.
2. Adjust the voltage using the voltage adjustment knob to 5V.
3. Connect the positive and negative terminals with wires and adjust the current knob to 5A.
4. Disconnect the wires and connect the load.

Connect the Load

1. Rotate the terminal knob counterclockwise.
2. Insert the load terminal.
3. Turn the terminal knob clockwise.
4. Banana plugs can be directly inserted into the terminal holes.

Attention: Improper connection may result in damage to the power supply and the connected load. When connecting a battery, do not reverse the polarity of the "+" and "-" terminals, as this may damage the power supply.

Constant Voltage/Constant Current Characteristics

This series of power supplies operates in automatic constant voltage/constant current conversion mode. The conversion point is where the output current reaches the set current limit value during constant voltage operation. As the load resistance decreases, the output current remains stable at the set value, and the output voltage decreases proportionally. If the load resistance continues to decrease, the current will remain at the set value. To restore CV output, increase the load resistance or the current set value.

CV Indicator: Lights up during constant voltage operation.

CC Indicator: Lights up during constant current operation.

Fuse Replacement

If the fuse blows, the power supply will stop working. Identify and correct the cause of the blown fuse, then replace it with a fuse of the same specification.

DANGER! HIGH VOLTAGE! For effective safety protection, only use fuses of the specified rating. Ensure the power is turned off and the power cord is unplugged from the outlet before replacing the fuse.

Procedure:

1. Remove the power plug first.
2. Open the fuse cabin according to the illustration.
3. Replace the fuse with one of the same specification.
4. Close the fuse cabin.

Product Maintenance

1. Disconnect the power supply when the product is not in use.
2. Unplug the power supply before cleaning.
3. Do not use hydrocarbons, chlorides, similar solvents, or abrasive cleaners.

Product Warranty

This product is offered with a one-year free maintenance service from the date of purchase, excluding the following cases:

• Failures caused by improper use, handling, repair, modification, or adjustment.
• Consumable materials.
• Natural disasters such as floods, fires, or earthquakes.

Repairs exceeding the warranty period will incur charges, which are the user's responsibility.
