Regulatory Information

FCC Statement

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to two conditions: (1) it may not cause harmful interference, and (2) it must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. Modifications not expressly approved by the responsible party could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in residential installations. It generates radio frequency energy and may cause interference if not installed and used as instructed. If interference occurs, users are encouraged to try measures such as reorienting the receiving antenna, increasing separation between equipment and receiver, or connecting to a different circuit. Consult a dealer or technician for assistance.

SAR Information Statement

This wireless device is designed and manufactured not to exceed emission limits for radiofrequency (RF) energy exposure set by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). These limits are part of comprehensive guidelines establishing permitted RF energy levels for the general population, based on scientific studies with safety margins. The Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) is the unit of measurement for exposure. The FCC SAR limit is 1.6 W/kg.

Tests for SAR are conducted at the highest certified power level across all tested frequency bands. Actual SAR levels may be lower as the device operates at multiple power levels to conserve energy. Proximity to a wireless base station antenna generally reduces power output.

The FCC has granted an Equipment Authorization for this Personal Mobile Alarm System, with all reported SAR levels evaluated as compliant with FCC RF exposure guidelines. The FCC ID for this device is 2AUMJEV-04-LTE.

The highest SAR value for this Personal Mobile Alarm System when tested for Front to Face is 0.635W/Kg. When worn on the body, the SAR value is 1.235W/Kg. These values may differ among phone models and positions but meet government requirements for safe exposure.

Additional SAR information can be found on the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA) website at http://www.wow-com.com. In the US and Canada, the public SAR limit for mobile phones is 1.6 W/kg averaged over one gram of tissue, incorporating a safety margin.

Body-worn Operation

This device was tested for typical body-worn operations. To comply with RF exposure requirements, a minimum separation distance of 10mm must be maintained between the user's body and the handset, including the antenna. Third-party accessories like belt-clips or holsters should not contain metallic components. Body-worn accessories that do not meet these requirements may not comply with RF exposure regulations and should be avoided. Always use the supplied or an approved antenna.
