Installing the LPS-A6 Power Supply Module in the Eversolo DMP-A6 / DMP-A6 Master Edition
A visual representation shows the Eversolo DMP-A6 unit alongside the LPS-A6 power supply module (blue transformer and black PCB), a Phillips screwdriver, and an Allen key, indicating the components and tools needed for the installation.
Use a 2.0mm Allen key to unscrew 6 screws on the rear panel and 7 screws on the underside of the Eversolo unit. A total of 13 screws need to be removed. Diagrams illustrate the locations of these screws on both the rear and bottom of the device, highlighted with red circles.
Gently slide the device cover outwards by approximately 20mm. Exercise caution as two internal webs connect the screen to the motherboard. Avoid using excessive force. A visual shows the cover partially slid open, with an arrow indicating the sliding direction.
Carefully lift and tilt the cover. Be aware that cables remain attached to the cover, screen, and motherboard; do not disconnect them. An arrow indicates the upward tilting motion of the cover.
Locate the existing switch mode power supply (SMPS) within the DMP-A6 unit. A red arrow points to the rectangular black power supply module inside the device.
Disconnect the jumper cable from the SMPS. This is a latched connector; press the central part to unlock it, then gently pull it upwards. Images show a hand disconnecting the cable, highlighting the latched connector.
Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the 6 screws that secure the existing switching power supply module. The screws are circled in red in the diagram, and a pile of removed screws is shown.
Remove the switching power supply module from the DMP-A6 chassis. Prepare the new LPS-A6 module for installation. Images show the removal of the old module and the new LPS-A6 module ready for placement.
Find the four insulation rings. Place these rings onto the PCB spacers within the DMP-A6 chassis. Diagrams show the placement of these rings using tweezers, highlighted with red circles.
Install the LPS-A6 module by carefully placing it onto the four isolation rings. Ensure the LPS-A6 is correctly aligned with the spacers. If the rings shift slightly, use the 2.0mm Allen key to help align them. A red arrow indicates the placement of the LPS-A6 module.
Use the existing screws to secure the LPS-A6 module to the chassis. Tighten four screws using a Phillips screwdriver. There will be two surplus screws; store them in a safe place. Red circles indicate the screw locations.
Install the silver-plated cable. Firmly plug the connectors into their respective sockets. Images show a hand plugging in the cable, with the connection point highlighted by a red circle.
Close the device by gently tilting the cover downwards. Remember that the cables are still attached to the cover screen and the motherboard; do not disconnect them. An arrow indicates the downward tilting motion of the cover.
Gently slide the cover inwards until it is fully closed. Secure the cover to the rear and bottom panels by tightening the 6 screws on the rear panel and the 7 screws on the underside of the unit using the 2.0mm Allen key. An arrow indicates the sliding direction of the cover.
