Watch Overview and Controls
This document provides instructions for the Chrono Mechanik Poljot 3133 watch. The watch features a chronograph function and is manufactured by UMF Ruhla.
The watch face includes:
- Main hour and minute hands.
- A central second hand (which also functions as the stop-second hand).
- A date window, typically located around the 3 o'clock position.
- Two sub-dials:
- A 30-minute counter for the chronograph (Stop-Minute Indicator [6]).
- A 12-hour counter for the chronograph (often integrated with the main dial or a separate sub-dial).
- A constant seconds sub-dial for the watch's timekeeping (Time-Second Indicator [4]).
The controls are located on the side of the watch case:
- Start/Stop Button [1]: Located at the top, used to start and stop the chronograph.
- Crown [2]: Located in the center, used for winding the watch, setting the time, and setting the date.
- Return Button [3]: Located at the bottom, used to reset the chronograph hands to their zero position.
Additional indicators:
- Stop-Second Indicator [5]: This refers to the central chronograph second hand when it is running or stopped.
Operating Instructions
Winding up the watch:
Wind the watch clockwise only until it stops. Do not overwind.
Adjusting the time:
Pull out the crown [2] to the appropriate position, set the time, and then push the crown [2] back in to its normal position.
Adjusting the date:
Pull out the crown [2] and set the hour hand to 11 o'clock. Continue winding the crown clockwise until the hour hand passes 12 o'clock; the date will advance by one day. If the date advances past the desired date, wind the hour hand anticlockwise to 11 o'clock, then wind clockwise past 12 o'clock again to advance the date by another day. Repeat this procedure until the desired date is set. After setting the date, readjust the time.
Stop function (Chronograph operation):
The stop-second hand [5] (central chronograph seconds hand) remains in the 12 o'clock position when not in use. To start the chronograph function, press the button [1]. Pressing button [1] again will stop the chronograph. To reset the chronograph hands (second, minute, and hour counters) to their zero positions, press the return button [3]. Stopped minutes are indicated on the stop-minute indicator [6] (the 30-minute sub-dial).
Care Instructions
General Note:
If the watch has stopped (i.e., is no longer ticking), it must be wound before wearing. Wind it approximately 15 turns clockwise in the neutral position [N] (crown pushed all the way in).
Water Resistance:
Please do not wear your watch while swimming in seawater. Saltwater can damage the gaskets and seals of the glass, case, and crown. If your watch comes into contact with seawater, rinse it immediately with clean fresh water. If you intend to swim with your watch, it is recommended to have the functionality of the gaskets checked twice a year.
