General Introduction
BOYA BY-XM6 systems are incredibly lightweight, ultracompact, and easy-to-use wireless microphone systems for up to 2 people. The microphone delivers exceptional, broadcast-quality sound to DSLR, mirrorless and video cameras, smartphones, tablets, computers, etc. It is ideal for content creation, vlogging, mobile journalism, and more.

Product Structure: Wireless Receiver BY-XM6 RX
The Wireless Receiver BY-XM6 RX features:
- 1. OLED display: Provides information on pairing status, output mode, volume, battery level, and audio input level. For more details, refer to the "OLED Display Operation Guide".
- 2. Belt clip: For attaching the receiver to clothing or equipment.
- 3. Charging contacts: For connecting to a charging source.
The device also includes:
- 4. Power/Mute button: Long press to power on/off. Short press to mute/unmute audio.
- 5. +/-/SET buttons: Used for navigation and selection within menus, and volume/gain adjustment on the home screen.
- 6. '-' button: Decreases volume on the home screen or selects functions/values in menus. Long press returns to the home screen.
- 7. USB-C charging port (DC 5V): For charging the device.
- 8. 3.5mm headphone output: Connect headphones for audio monitoring.
- 9. LINE OUT jack: Connect to cameras, recorders, mixers, smartphones, tablets, or computers using the supplied output cables.
- 10. Antenna: For wireless signal transmission.

The Wireless Transmitter BY-XM6 TX features:
- 1. OLED display: Shows pairing status, input mode, mic gain, audio input level, and battery level.
- 2. Belt clip: For attaching the transmitter to clothing.
- 3. Charging contacts: For connecting to a charging source.
The device also includes:
- 4. Power/Mute button: Long press to power on/off. Short press to mute/unmute audio.

OLED Display Operation Guide: Wireless Receiver BY-XM6 RX
Home screen
If no operation is performed within 20 seconds on other screens, the display will automatically return to the home screen.
The home screen displays:
- 1. Pairing indicator: Shows connection status (Paired successfully, Disconnected, Pairing).
- 2. RX's output mode: Indicates Mono (M) or Stereo (S) output.
- 3. Output volume & Mute indicator: Shows current volume level and mute status (Mute ON/OFF). Volume is adjusted using the +/- buttons on the home screen.
- 4. RX's battery level indicator: Displays the RX battery level. Recharge immediately when the indicator starts flashing.
- 5. Audio input level meter: Visualizes the audio input level.
Menu screen
On the home screen, long press the SET button to enter the menu screen. On the menu screen, long press the '-' button to return to the home screen.
- Connect Setting: Pair with the transmitter. For details, refer to the "Operation Guide". The display shows "Connect Yes?".
- Backlight Setting: Set backlight to always on or on for 10/30/60 seconds. Default is "On". The display shows "Backlight On".
- Mute Key Setting: Enable or disable the mute key button function. Default is "Enable". The display shows "Mute Enable".
- Output Volume Setting: Set output volume from 0 to 6. Default is "5". The display shows "Volume 6/6" (example).
- Output Mode Setting: Set output mode to Mono or Stereo. In Mono mode, audio from transmitters is mixed to both left and right channels. In Stereo mode, audio from two transmitters is separated to left and right channels. Default is Mono. The display shows "Output Mono" (example).
- Language Setting: English or Chinese are available. Default is English. The display shows "Language English".
- Restore Default Setting: Resets settings to factory defaults. The display shows "Restore Yes?".
- Version: Displays the firmware version of the BY-XM6 RX. The display shows "Version V1.05".

Home screen

Operation Guide
- Long press the power button to turn on/off the transmitter and the receiver.
- Pairing: The system is pre-paired before leaving the factory. Connection is established upon powering on. If disconnected, follow these steps:
- Long press the SET button to enter the menu screen.
- Use the +/- buttons to display the "Connect" setting menu on both transmitter and receiver. The display shows "Connect Yes?".
- Long press the SET button to select the menu.
- Select "Yes" and long press the SET button to confirm.
- The transmitter and receiver will be successfully paired within 10 seconds.
- Connection: Connect the receiver to the mic input of a camera, recorder, or mixer using the supplied 3.5mm TRS cable. Alternatively, connect the RX to a smartphone, tablet, or computer using the supplied 3.5mm TRS to TRRS cable.
