This document provides instructions for the CatEye Vectra Wireless Cyclocomputer, model CC-VT100W. It covers installation, settings, operation, troubleshooting, and specifications. This product is covered by U.S. Pat. Nos. 4633216/4636769/4642606/5236759 and Design Pat. Pending.
Installation Guide
Follow these steps to install the CatEye Vectra Wireless cyclocomputer:
Mounting the Bracket
Attach the bracket [1] to the handlebar of your bicycle. Use the provided ties or tape as appropriate.
Attaching the Sensor and Magnet
Securely attach the speed sensor [2] to the bicycle fork and the magnet [3] to one of the spokes.
Ensure the magnet passes through the sensor zone of the speed sensor.
Positioning and Clearance
Maintain a clearance of 5 mm or less between the sensor [2] and the magnet [3].
The maximum recommended distance between the sensor and the computer is 70 cm.
Install the computer on the stem with its bottom surface facing the sensor, considering the stem's angle.

Settings and Operation
Basic Settings
- All Clear [AC]: Resets all data and settings.
- Speed Unit: Select between kilometers per hour (km/h) or miles per hour (mph).
- ODO Manual Set: Manually input the total distance traveled.
Tire Size and Wheel Circumference
Select your tire size from the table below to find the corresponding wheel circumference (L cm). This is crucial for accurate speed and distance readings.

Example: For tire size 27 x 1-3/8, set Wheel Circumference to 217 cm.
Operation Flow
The cyclocomputer displays the following information:
- Current Speed: Displays real-time speed (0.0-105.9 km/h or 0.0-65.9 mph).
- Odo: Displays total distance (0-9999.9 km/mile).
- Dst: Displays trip distance (0.00-999.99 km/mile).
- Clock: Displays the current time (0:00-23:59 or 1:00-12:59).
Use the MODE button to cycle through functions and the SET button to confirm settings or move between digits during setting.
Clock Setting
To set the clock:
- With the clock symbol displayed, press the SET button.
- Press MODE to advance the hour/minute digits. Press and hold MODE for faster advancement.
- Press SET to move to the next digit (hour to minute).
- Press SET again to confirm the clock setting and return to the measuring screen.
If speed unit is set to km/h, the 24-hour system is used. If set to mph, the 12-hour system is used.
Battery
The computer and sensor use CR2032 lithium batteries. Replace batteries when the display is dim or sensor reception is poor.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance
Troubleshooting
- No display: Check if the computer battery is depleted. Replace it and re-enter settings.
- Incorrect data: Perform an "All Clear" operation.
- Sensor signal icon does not flash:
- Reduce the distance between the sensor and computer.
- Adjust the magnet's position to ensure it passes through the sensor zone.
- Check if the computer is installed at the correct angle (bottom surface facing the sensor).
- Ensure the distance between the computer and sensor is not too great.
- Check if the sensor or computer battery is weak, especially in cold weather. Replace batteries.
Maintenance
Clean the computer and accessories with a soft cloth dampened with a diluted neutral detergent, then wipe dry.
Do not use thinners, benzene, or alcohol.
