Safety Precautions
General Safety:
- Keep the operating area clear of all persons, especially children and pets. Maintain a distance of at least 30m (100 ft) from the mower when it is in operation.
- Never allow children under 14 years of age to operate this electric lawn mower.
- Always wear safety glasses or eye protection and appropriate footwear when operating the mower.
- Do not operate the mower under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Ensure all safety devices are in place and functioning correctly.
- Never operate the mower without the grass bag, mulch plug, or side discharge chute properly in place.
- Do not modify or attempt to repair the appliance or battery unless instructed in this manual.
Operating on Slopes:
- Mow across the face of slopes, not up and down.
- Be extra cautious when changing direction on slopes.
- Watch for holes, ruts, rocks, and other hidden objects that could cause you to slip or trip.
- Do not mow on excessively steep slopes (more than 15 degrees).
- Do not mow wet or damp grass.
Battery Safety:
- Only use approved batteries and chargers.
- Do not expose batteries to fire or excessive temperatures.
- Handle batteries with care to avoid short-circuiting.
- Do not attempt to open or damage the battery.
Assembly and Installation
Follow these steps for assembly:
- Unpack the machine and read all documentation.
- Assemble the lower handle by aligning the knobs and securing them.
- Assemble the upper handle by aligning the holes and securing with bolts and knobs.
- Install the rear bag by removing the mulch plug, opening and holding the rear discharge chute, and attaching the bag.
- Install the side discharge chute by opening and holding the side discharge chute, aligning the corners of the chute, and closing the chute.
Operation
Starting the Mower:
- Press and hold the start button.
- While holding the start button, pull the safety bar towards the handle.
- Release the start button once the mower starts.
Stopping the Mower:
- Release the safety bar to stop the mower.
Self-Propelled System:
- Start the mower.
- While holding the safety bar, push the self-propelled lever towards the handle.
- Adjust the speed control knob as needed.
Emptying the Rear Bag:
- Stop the mower and remove the battery.
- Open and hold the rear discharge chute.
- Remove the rear bag by its handle.
- Close the rear discharge chute.
- Empty the bag.
Maintenance
General Maintenance:
- Before each use, check the machine for damaged, missing, or loose parts.
- Tighten all fasteners and caps.
- Clean the machine with a dry cloth. Do not use water.
Replacing the Blade:
- Stop the mower and remove the battery and safety key.
- Turn the machine on its side.
- Use a piece of wood to prevent the blade from moving.
- Remove the blade mounting screw and the blade.
- Install a new blade with the sharp edges facing down.
- Tighten the mounting screw.
Storage:
- Clean the machine before storing.
- Ensure the motor is not hot before storing.
- Store the machine in a dry place, out of reach of children.
Troubleshooting

Limited Warranty
Greenworks warrants this product to the original purchaser for a period of four (4) years against defects in materials, parts, or workmanship. Greenworks will, at its discretion, repair or replace any defective parts under normal use, free of charge. This warranty is valid only for units used for personal purposes, not rented for industrial or commercial purposes, and maintained according to the instructions in the owner's manual.
Items not covered by warranty include: improper use, commercial use, abuse, neglect, accidents, improper maintenance, or modifications. Normal wear and tear, as well as external finish deterioration, are also excluded.
