3. Spectrum Analysis Plots
Spectrum analysis plots were generated for various test modes (DH5, 2DH5, 3DH5) and frequencies (2402 MHz, 2441 MHz, 2480 MHz) across different frequency ranges to assess signal characteristics and emissions.
- In-band Reference Plots: These plots, typically centered around the operating frequencies (e.g., 2.4020000 GHz, 2.4410000 GHz, 2.4800000 GHz), show the signal's power spectral density within the channel. Key parameters include a span of 1.500 MHz, RBW of 100 kHz, and VBW of 300 kHz. Marker values indicate the peak power within the channel, generally ranging from approximately 0 dBm to 3 dBm for DH5, and similar for 2DH5/3DH5 modes. For example, a plot for DH5_Ant1_High_2480 shows a peak of 1.799 dBm at 2.4800450 GHz.
- Conducted Emissions (30 MHz - 1000 MHz): Scans across this range (e.g., centered at 515.000000 MHz with a 1.000 GHz span, RBW: 100 kHz, VBW: 300 kHz) show very low emission levels, typically below -57 dBm, well within the specified limits (e.g., ≤-16.91 dBm). For instance, a plot for DH5_Ant1_2402_30~1000 shows a peak emission of -58.728 dBm.
- Conducted Emissions (1000 MHz - 26500 MHz): Scans across this broad range (e.g., centered at 13.750000000 GHz with a 25.500 GHz span, RBW: 100 kHz, VBW: 300 kHz) were performed to detect spurious emissions. Measured levels were generally below -20 dBm, also well within the specified limits (e.g., ≤-16.91 dBm). For example, a plot for DH5_Ant1_2441_0~Reference shows a marker at 4.80460 GHz with a value of -20.914 dBm.
4. Antenna Requirement
4.1 Test Standard and Requirement
Test Standard: FCC Part15 Section 15.203 /247(c)
15.203 requirement: An intentional radiator shall be designed to ensure that no antenna other than that furnished by the responsible party shall be used with the device. The use of a permanently attached antenna or of an antenna that uses a unique coupling to the intentional radiator, the manufacturer may design the unit so that a broken antenna can be replaced by the user, but the use of a standard antenna jack or electrical connector is prohibited.
2) 15.247(c) (1)(i) requirement: Systems operating in the 2400-2483.5 MHz band that is used exclusively for fixed. Point-to-point operations may employ transmitting antennas with directional gain greater than 6dBi provided the maximum conducted output power of the intentional radiator is reduced by 1 dB for every 3 dB that the directional gain of the antenna exceeds 6 dBi.
4.2 Antenna Connected Construction
The antenna is a Ceramic Antenna which is permanently attached. The best-case gain of the antenna is 2.7dBi. It complies with the standard requirement.
