This section provides a visual overview of the Boult Audio Encore-X wireless earbuds and their charging case.
Charge Case
The charge case is a compact, rectangular unit with rounded edges. It features a Charge Case indicator light, typically a small LED, and a Charging Port, usually a USB port, located on the back or bottom for recharging the case.
When the case is opened, it reveals two slots designed to hold and charge the individual earbuds.
Earbuds
Each earbud is designed to fit comfortably in the ear. Key features include:
- Touch Area: A designated touch-sensitive surface on the top of the earbud stem, used for controlling playback, calls, and voice assistants.
- Earphone Indicator: A small LED light on each earbud that indicates its status (e.g., pairing, charging).
- Earphone Charging Port: Contact points at the bottom of the earbud that connect to the charging pins inside the case.
The earbuds are shown placed within the open charging case, labeled 'L' for the left earbud and 'R' for the right earbud.

Operation Instructions
The earbuds are controlled via touch gestures on the earbud's touch area.
Music Playback and Call Management
- Touch once: Play/Pause music. Answer/End a call.
- Touch twice on Left (L) earbud: Play the Previous song.
- Touch twice on Right (R) earbud: Play the Next song.
- Touch and hold for 2 seconds then release: Reject an incoming call.
- Touch and hold for 2 seconds then release: Wake up the voice assistant (e.g., Siri, Google Assistant).
Pairing for Operating
Step 1: Open the lid of the charging case or long-press the touch area on the earphones to turn them on. They will automatically enter pairing mode.
Step 2: On your mobile phone, open Bluetooth settings, search for the earphones' Bluetooth name, and connect to it. A voice prompt will confirm "Connected".
Automatic Reconnection: When the earphones connect to the same device again, simply open the lid of the charging case. The earphones will turn on automatically and reconnect to the device, indicated by a "Connected" voice prompt.
Turn on the Earphone
- Method A: Touch and hold the touch area on the earbud for 5 seconds.
- Method B: Open the lid of the charging case. The earphones will automatically power on and enter automatic pairing mode.
Turn off the Earphone
- Method A: Touch and hold the touch area on the earbud for 5 seconds.
- Method B: Place the earphones back into the charging case and close the lid. They will automatically shut down and begin charging.
Automatic Turn Off: If the earphones are disconnected from the paired device for 6 minutes, they will automatically turn off to conserve power.
Calling
When connected to a mobile phone:
- Touch once on any earphone: Answer the current incoming call.
- Long touch for 2 seconds then release: Reject the incoming call.
- Touch once on any earphone: End the current call.
FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
A. When the earphones can't be turned on
Check if the earphones have power. Ensure the charging case is connected to a USB power source and the earphones have been charged in the case for at least 1 hour.
B. When the earphones have only one side sound or earphones can't pair successfully
- Make sure both earphones are powered on and functioning normally.
- If the earphones are off, press and hold the touch area on both earphones for 8 seconds to restore factory settings.
- Touch and hold the earphone for 5 seconds to turn it on, or take the earphone out of the charging case (if the case is powered). The earphone will power on automatically, and you can then connect it to your device.
C. When the mobile phone cannot find the device
- Confirm that both earphones are turned on.
- Check if the earphones are already connected to other devices. Disconnect them from any other active connections.
- Move to a clear area with less potential interference and try reconnecting again.
D. When the earphone is stuck or disconnects while talking or playing music
- The earphone battery may be low. Charge the earphones.
- The distance between the mobile phone and the earphones might be too great (more than 10 meters). Move closer.
- There could be significant signal obstruction between the mobile phone and the earphones, such as walls or other physical barriers.
- The left and right earbuds may not be paired or synchronized correctly. Shut down the earphones and re-pair them.
Attention
- Do not attempt to change the built-in battery yourself.
- Avoid exposing the headset to wet or rainy conditions.
- Do not expose the headset to direct sunlight or place it near open flames to prevent battery damage.
- Do not disassemble the headset if you are not professionally trained.
