Preparation and Installation
Follow these steps to install the COUGAR POSEIDON LT 240 CPU Liquid Cooler.
Intel Socket Installation
For LGA 775 / 115X / 1200 / 1366:
- Attach standoffs (I) to the backplate (B-1).
- Position the backplate (B-1) behind the motherboard.
- Secure the backplate using nuts (G).
- Apply thermal paste (F) to the CPU surface.
- Mount the water block onto the CPU, aligning it with the standoffs.
- Secure the water block by tightening screws (D) into the nuts (G) on the backplate.

For LGA 1700:
- Attach standoffs (I) to the backplate (B-2).
- Position the backplate (B-2) behind the motherboard.

- Secure the water block using spacers (H) and screws (D).

AMD Socket Installation
- Remove the stock AMD mounting bracket from the motherboard.

- Mount the water block onto the CPU, aligning it with the AMD bracket.
- Secure the water block by tightening screws (D) into the nuts (G).

Radiator and Fan Installation
- Mount the radiator to your PC case using radiator screws (M).
- Attach the fans (A) to the radiator using fan screws (E). Ensure correct airflow direction (push or pull).
- Connect the fans to the 4-pin PWM headers on your motherboard or use the 1-to-2 fan splitter (N) for dual fan setup.
- Connect the water block pump to a SATA power connector from your power supply and the 5V Addressable RGB header on your motherboard or the included controller.

Mode Switching and Remote Controller
The POSEIDON LT 240 supports two modes for RGB lighting control:
- Default: Remote Controller: Use the included wireless controller.
- Press Once: Motherboard Driver RGB Control: Connect to a 5V Addressable RGB header on your motherboard for synchronization with motherboard software.
- Press Again: Turn Off RGB Lighting: Disables all RGB lighting.
Remote Controller Functions:
The wireless controller offers various options:

- ✨ Autoplay All 100 Lighting Effects: Cycles through all available lighting presets.
- ◀️▶️ Light Flow Direction Adjustment: Changes the direction of lighting animations (Left/Right).

- ⚡ Speed Adjustment: Controls the speed of lighting animations.

- ⏩ Next/Previous Lighting Effect (ALL 100 EFFECTS): Cycles through all 100 available lighting effects.

Controller Binding and Unbinding:
To prevent interference from other controllers or to pair a new controller:
- Binding: Press and hold the controller's button for 5 seconds until the device's backlight changes to red. This pairs the controller to your POSEIDON LT.
- Unbinding: Press and hold the controller's button for 5 seconds until the device's backlight changes to white. This unbinds the controller. Use a new controller to unbind if the original is lost.
RGB Synchronization:
For system-wide RGB synchronization with more ARGB devices, COUGAR recommends using their Core Box V3/V2 (sold separately). These devices connect to motherboard 3-pin 5V Addressable RGB headers.

The year and month of product manufacturing are indicated in the product's serial number (S/N).
- Method A: The first two digits after S/N indicate the year, and the next two digits indicate the month. (e.g., S/N: H1702000001 means manufactured in February 2017).
- Method B: If letters are present, use the provided table to convert letters to digits for the year, followed by two digits for the month. (e.g., S/N: DAG02REVI000001 means manufactured in February 2017, where 'AG' corresponds to '17' for the year 2017).
