USB Port Details
The USB port is a micro-USB type, used for charging the light. A protective cap covers the port.
Charging
Charge via solar
Place the headlight in direct sunlight with the solar panel facing up. A full charge can take up to 8 hours. You can check the battery level at any time by pressing the battery level indicator button.
Charge via USB
Insert the provided micro-USB cord into the USB port on the headlight. Connect the other end to a USB outlet. Charging typically takes about 2 hours. Confirm charging by checking that the battery level indicator light is flashing.
Charge taillight
To charge the taillight, connect it to the headlight using the integrated magnets. The headlight will then power the taillight. Ensure the headlight has at least 40% battery charge.
How to use
Attach
Secure the light by first locking one end of the strap into its corresponding mount. Then, loop the strap around your handlebar or seatpost and fasten it into the mount's groove or hook.
Connect
Attaching your headlight or taillight to its mount is simple: just bring them together, and the magnetic connection will snap them into place.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is direct sunlight?
Direct sunlight means the sun's light is directly hitting the solar panel. If you are outdoors with an unobstructed view of the sun, you are in direct sunlight. Being indoors or in shade provides indirect sunlight, which charges slower. Solar panels require direct sunlight for optimal charging.
It's cloudy, will my light still charge?
Yes, but it will charge at a slower rate compared to a bright, clear day. Charging efficiency varies with UV index and overcast conditions.
Will my light charge under indoor lighting?
Ordinary indoor lights emit only a tiny fraction of the red and violet frequencies that charge your Luci. For best results, place your Luci directly in sunlight, such as from a windowsill or outdoors. The product is durable and waterproof.
Do I need batteries?
No, all MPOWERD products are solar-powered and rechargeable, so no external batteries are needed.
Can I charge your products from my car dashboard?
Charging from a car dashboard is not advised. During hot weather, car interiors can reach temperatures up to 160°F (71°C), which exceeds the product's safe operating temperature limit of 122°F (50°C).
How do I charge the taillight?
Connect the taillight to the headlight using the magnetic snap. The headlight will then power the taillight. Ensure the headlight has at least 40% battery charge.
Do I need to activate the solar charger?
No activation is necessary. Simply place the light in direct sunlight with the solar side facing up.
Do I need any tools to set up my Bike Light?
No, the Luci Bike Light is designed for easy, tool-free installation.
Will the LEDs ever need replacing?
The LEDs are designed for longevity and are not intended for replacement unless they are physically damaged.
What's the difference between charging the light via USB or the solar panel?
Charging via USB is approximately 6 times faster than solar charging due to higher input power. Both methods will result in a full battery charge. Solar charging is recommended as a natural power source, while USB is useful for quick charging when needed.
Can my light be left outside?
Yes, the Luci lights are durable and waterproof, making them suitable for outdoor use in all weather conditions.
I'm going mountain biking. Will my light remain in the mount with all the bumps?
Yes, the bike light uses industrial-strength magnets and is built to withstand extreme vibrations and bumps, ensuring it stays securely mounted.
Do the straps fit around thicker handlebars or seatposts?
Yes, the adjustable silicone straps are designed to fit standard handlebar and seatpost dimensions, accommodating diameters from 25 mm to 32 mm.
