Skullcandy SLYR PS3 User Guide
Setup Steps:
Ensure the headset cable is fully plugged in. Push the cable into the headset until it clicks, which may require slight force to ensure a secure connection. This tight fit is designed to prevent disconnection during intense gaming sessions. If you experience sound from only one side, muffled audio, or microphone issues, unplug and re-plug the headset cable until it clicks securely.
If your PS3 is connected to the TV via HDMI, you will also need the standard AV cables that came with the console. If using HDMI, plug the red and white RCA cables from the console into the rear input of the mixer cable and leave them connected. They do not need to be plugged into the TV, but ensure the metal parts of the red and white cables do not touch each other or any other metal to prevent static or humming.
The diagram illustrates the connection of the PS3 to the TV using HDMI and standard AV cables, with the Skullcandy GMX mixer cable connecting the headset. The PS3 AV cable connects to the TV's RCA inputs (Red and White), and the GMX cable connects to the PS3's USB port and the headset's audio jack.
