Bluetooth Pairing

Follow these steps to connect your device via Bluetooth:

Press and hold the Bluetooth button ? on the speaker for 1 second until the indicator light flashes.
On your mobile device, navigate to Bluetooth settings, turn Bluetooth ON, and select "JBL Charge 5" from the list of available devices. The speaker will indicate it is connected.

Play Music

Control your music playback:

Play/Pause: Press the play/pause button (▶️/⏸️ icon) once (×1).
Next/Previous Track: Double-press the play/pause button (▶️/⏸️ icon) twice (×2).
Volume Control: Use the volume up (+) and volume down (-) buttons.

PartyBoost Feature

Connect multiple JBL PartyBoost-compatible speakers for a larger sound experience.

Press the PartyBoost button (? icon) on the JBL Charge 5 to enter PartyBoost mode.
On another JBL PartyBoost-compatible speaker, press and hold the PartyBoost button (? icon) to connect.

JBL Portable App

Enhance your speaker experience by using the JBL PORTABLE app. Download it from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store to configure your speaker and upgrade its software.

Charging the Speaker

Connect the included USB Type-C cable to the speaker and a power adapter (sold separately) or USB port. The battery indicator lights will show the charging status.

Powerbank Functionality

Use your JBL Charge 5 to charge your other devices. Connect your device's charging cable to the USB port on the speaker.

Waterproof and Dustproof (IP67)

The JBL Charge 5 is rated IP67 for water and dust resistance. It can be submerged in water up to 1 meter deep for up to 30 minutes. Ensure the charging port cover is securely closed before exposure to water.

Important Safety and Care Information

Battery Lifespan: To protect battery lifespan, fully charge the speaker at least once every 3 months. Battery life may vary due to usage patterns and environmental conditions.

Liquid Exposure:

Do not expose the JBL Charge 5 to liquids without ensuring the charging port cover is securely closed.
Do not expose the JBL Charge 5 to water while charging.
After a liquid spill, do not charge the speaker until it is completely dry and clean. Charging when wet may result in permanent damage to the speaker or power source.

Charging Precautions: When using an external adapter or USB-C cable, the speaker's performance may be affected during charging.
